Re changing ayybid caliphate

I think you are right, whilst the game play might be marginally better it is best to get the history right with this map. Any crusade would have had to get past the ayyubids, and the crusaders only had a sliver of land on the coast. I think we keep Jerusalem as it was.

That altered Jerusalem bonus looks good.
agreed. however, ayyubid sultanate has lost a bit too much territory, considering that the capital was in the northern part! how about restoring its border with sultanate of rum, with jerusalem bordering both but being separated from abbasid caliphate?

Currently, Jerusalem is a Cul De Sac. It is a neutral behind another starting neutral, that leads nowhere. Consider the northern part of Ayyubid being given to the territory of Jerusalem. Touching Rum, Ilkhanare, Abbasid, Ayyubid and ...

What are you thinking when you say key crossroads? Any ideas.

Both HitRed and I have tried to find the [ Official] XML Test and Map Inspect, and in my case beable to use on a Mac . When we tried to click on the link to these in the map tools it did not work

Aside from the 2 starting neutrals the territories would be allocated randomly. For 2 player games only, Player 1 allocated OO Makuria and EO Serbia and Player 2 OO Begwena and EO Empire of Nicea. I believe this is the way to code this for 2-player games only and the XML has been updated. As I ...
