Re: Consecutive Wins in a Row Medal

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I suggested it. I just thought it would be an interesting medal. I won't suggest anything else.

Suggestion For a New Medal

I probably have not won more than five games in a row but why not award a special medal for the most consecutive wins without a loss? Who can forget the only unbeaten 1972 Dolphins who went 17-0? Whatever the record currently is could be the standard for which someone might try to beat. That would ...

Re: Bots vs backgammon and chess

You may be right because I'm not a programmer. But backgammon requires not only probability of dice but a great deal of strategy when it comes to using the cube. I understand that a Master level backgammon player will beat an average player 9 out of 10 times in a 7 point match.

Re: Bots vs backgammon and chess

[quote="jusplay4fun"]That makes sense. The Bot for Chess is very weak, for example, by putting its queen in danger or not recognizing its likely capture.]

There are numerous chess programs made by amatuer programmers who themselves are very poor chess players that can defeat Chess Grandmasters ...

Re: Bots vs backgammon and chess

I must point out though that there are many amateurs who have written very strong chess programs individually. There are world class maps that are farmed out to individuals who play on Conquer Club that are just as good or better than any professional map makers. It seems it would create a great ...

Re: Bots vs backgammon and chess

I'm sure there are programmers that use this site that would love to create a strong bot. I understand what you are saying though.

Bots vs backgammon and chess

I've been away from conquer club for several years now. I remember when I left playing that The bots were absolutely horrible as far as strategy. Artificial intelligence in backgammon and chess play at world-class levels so is there some reason that the bots for game colony don't have a higher skill ...

Re: A way to spice up this site

Add Backgammon and Chess as an option. Many sites offer a number of peer to peer games and seem to be doing quite well. If the owner could incorporate a couple of other games at this site I believe it wouid attract more people.

I like this idea, we could run a number of different games. Not sure ...

Re: Has anyone else failed to receive a medal?

I have reported this and it is confirmed to be a bug. After going over 1000 games I never received a Nuclear Medal. I've been stuck on 999. I was wondering if it is just the Nuclear medal or the Platinum medal that has the bug.

I wasn't referring to Gumby. I am referring to Dattic and hex010 and I think at least one other. I'm stuck on 999.

It's official. After winning several games against unique opponents with nuke settings I still havn't received a medal. Is it a bug or a new policy?

It said that before I won another game against a new opponent. I'm not worried about it but was curious why the award didn't take place immediately.

Dice-Technical Data (Comparable to Backgammon Dice?)

Would some of the math experts check this article out and see if it corresponds with what you experience here? Are backgammon dice generators different than that which is used on this site? This is not a dice complaint thread.

Re: Master Botter!

That could be very interesting, love the idea. Let s say that for the bot level 4, a competition is made between programmers. Random map/settings. Since the games would be between bots the results would be immediate. So you could make them face each other hundreads of times. The winner would give ...
