Re: Das Schloß [BETA] V45 Word Adjustment?

I can't tell what the status of this map (quenched or beta?), but I have to say this one is well worth keeping. Please do NOT get rid of it!
This is an intensely strategy driven map, and conquer club needs this variety. Personally I had no trouble understanding the map after a few rounds. I would ...

Country Totals

Country totals are wrong in World 2.1, I haven't checked other maps.

I count 115 countries in the XML. However bob has two conflicting numbers. 113 under 'totals', but if you add up the numbers in brackets (fog of war) it adds up to only 112.

Re: Feudal Japan - Version 4 - June 08

Ok, a new version is up in the original post. I have added in a close up of a real katana blade and mixed two famous wood carvings in the background..let me know your thoughts.
cheers

Re: Feudal Japan - Version 3 - June 08

Well, I've been on holiday for a month, but back in CC town now.

Do any of these backgrounds take your fancy? Don't worry about the readability, just trying to find the right background.

I disagree. It should be considered cheating, but it's also easily fixed.

Freestyle timeout exploit

I suspect player "risk it all" in game 1306250 of using a timeout exploit.

Basically wait for your turn to timeout in a freestyle game. Then the "last player to act cannot be first to move" rule does not apply.

You can then be first to go in the new round with double the armies you would have ...

I agree completely with the first poster.

I was just logging in to raise this issue and found it already there.

It just doesn't make sense that your player "forgets" what armies where just taken. But on big maps and when playing lots of games it's easy to forget what you had in reality ...

Cashing in mid-turn

How/when is it possible to cash-in mid-turn? I expected to get prompted after eliminating a player and winning four cards but nothing happened.

I see other games where the player is able to cash in mid-turn or so it appears from the game logs.
