How's the vacation? Summer's almost over. Just sayin.

I've been watching this map/thread for months... daily. Game play looks good, graphics are really nice, bonuses look fair, and I like the French title. I can't wait to play!

How's it going? Have we argued enough about territory names? I think this needs to get moving to the next step.

gotcha...accents are correct on the actual map, but not in the legend. Yes, I agree there should be accents in all french places with accents. I misunderstood....I thought you meant remove all the accents all togther.

I vote for the accents to stay. (if I had a vote, that is).

I am not a fan of the boat at all. I prefer the original dotted lines. It looks really busy and hard to see, not as obvious as the dotted lines. I just don't get why a boat is better at all.

I like the Great North and a bonus of 3 makes sense with it's borders and landspace. I'm not sure how I feel about the Gulf St. Lawrence territory. It definately cleans up the sea routes. Does it add unnecessary complications though? That's what I like about this map ...

Alright, so what's the scoop? Have you decided which changes to make? I agree about the consistancy in accents. Don't drop the ball on this one, it looks too good to me.

in English: Magdalan Islands
in French: Iles de la Madeleine

So much talk about PEI. Yes P.E.I. stands for Prince Edward Island... so who cares? If it looks neater with just PEI, then do it, if it doesn't look neater, don't do it...jeeze.

Also, where's the monkey? There's lots of room for him on the map... maybe he should have his own territory that can't be ...

Very professional I think. Good job. Legend looks sharp for sure. Title is great. Colors look good. Maybe the addition of something like.... "Dotted lines are passable borders" under the title or something? Usually on maps, there's notes like that. Then again, I think the dotted lines are obviously ...

The colors look really good. I think the top banner looks a little cheesy. I'm not a graphics kinda girl, so I'm not really sure what i could suggest that would be better. Maybe a little nice font, and fitting it into the map a little more, and adding bonuses? Or maybe ditchin the black and continue ...

So, are there any updates with this? Any new graphics, and more discussion about adding St. Pierre? I like the idea, and I can also get behind the fact that there are alot of borders.

I PM'ed a couple of people who were from Quebec to check out the territory names. I'll also talk to my friends who are on CC and get them to check it out. I think it looks really good and would play very nicely.
Maybe we would get more comments if this was moved to the Foundry and out of ideas? eh ...

So, if there are people who think the map is too big and space isn't being used... what about making the mini-map ...

I don't really see the need for the border between Gros Morne and Cartwright. Newfoundland is currently only worth 2 as a bonus, adding another border seems silly. All the rest of the bonuses seem good to me; I would have made them the same if i had been making it I think. Except for maybe the one ...

Glad to see the bridge between Cape Breton and Halifax... you know it's actually a 4.5 hour drive?

Gros Morne is actually further North than originally thought... so:

The most northern one could be:
Gros Morne **
Long Range
Barr'd Harbour

The south-east one could be:
Grandfalls **
Codroy
St. George's Bay

St. John's should stay.

My suggestions:
Saint John's could be St. John's. That's generally how it's spelled, plus it might look neater.
Grandfalls could be Gross Morne.
Sainte Barbe, which I've never actually even heard of, could be L'Anse aux Meadows, which a pretty populated area.
