The only game I won up till last night was a Triples game. But now, I won my first Standard game.

I notced that some of the borderlines are light brown and thicker than normal. Dooes that mean they can't be crossed, or does it mean nothing?

I think thwere should be a surrender button taht you can click on if you know you'll lose. Any remaining territories will turn neutral, and you'll still lose the same number of points. It's just a way so people that will lose can stop worrying about taht game and move on to the next one.

I'll say it does. Attacked Southern europe from 2 diffrent countries, and lost 4 armies to their 1.

Well, I go on a more defensive strategy.

The outer layer gets the majority of my armies, but the second layer, which would be attacked if they broke through, gets 2 armies each. I try to split the armies evenly around that outer layer.

I agree. If they're losing they could just stop playing, get kicked out, and not lose points.

In one, the person did the "Dump all on one country and go on a rampage" strategy, taking couyntries and guarding his borders well. In the second, I went a little overboard with my attacks, after trading in some cards and gaining 20 armies.
