+ Colors (though everyone, I've discovered will disagree about this)
+ Shadowing of the mountains (will be fixed)
+ Rivers emptying into the sea (will be fixed)
+ Coloring/graphical issues ...

Please give me input. I've taken everyone's suggestions and put more time into graphics work, shadowing, etc. I've also changed the color scheme and provided a smaller version of the map (on page 2).

OK - You guys suggested I explore alternate color schemes. I have also increased foilage and sharpened the legend. I have three colors schemes to try out:

Any suggestions on color schemes? I can try a few different possibilities and will experiment over the next few days, but if anyone has any killer ideas, I'd be glad to try if they want to give me a color pallatte (remember - 9 continents).

Should I make the Goldmines worth +1? If I did, I'd probably put a 1 way passage from Sunnysido to it.

I'll work on the titles - I agree there. As for the mountains - some are supposed to be sand mountains or sand dunes.

And I don't want to use the Transvaal or Orange Republic flags because those are only part of the total territory on the map (a small part).

Well - it's very loosely based on the Boer War. The general territorial layout reflects the Boer War, but the actual map is based on about 3 dozen maps from the period. It is supposed to be of historical South Africa, though obviously to make it player-friendly, territorial lines had to be changed ...

Well - what specifically can I do to improve this map? How can I get it ready to play? Does it look interesting?

Trees are impassable, correct. I will work on straightening out the fonts in the next update after I get more suggestions.
