Planes can be attacked from either ships that have a dotted line conected to the plane OR AA bombardments that are aimed at them. AA stands for Anti Aircraft. If you look at the bottom of the map you will see where each AA Bombardments is aimed.

Example: Plane K4 can be attacked FROM ship west ...
