For some reason I'm picturing the classic boardgame Battleship... LOL. Interesting idea. Can you put something down in graphic form to give us an idea?

Not a bad idea, but like mibi says in his first point, too many legal issues. Also, ipods are known for their simplicity, so you wouldn't be presenting yourself with an item that lends itself well to many territories. You could take the idea, however, and spin it off. Perhaps, music electronics? Or ...

Thanks RjBeals. I was toying with those same districts for the Big Island. I'm making a hand sketch of what I think that island should look like. By putting in the volcanoes it creates impassible objects which creates strategic positions in the map. The issue I'm still working on is the linear thing ...

One other note. Because of the shape and size of some of the larger islands we could easily create multiple territories on each island.

Excellent point on the linear issue, I'll have to hammer that out. At the very least we could have East and West routes. However, that'd still leave the center islands compressed and the end islands very remote. One solution might be to use Captain Cook's fleet as a point to travel between the ...

Not knowing anything about Paisos Catalans and what it meant I Googled it. Based on the map on Google it looks like you missed a small area called Alguer in Sardinia to the East. For playability this territory could be reached from either Catalonia or Minorca. Just a thought.
