Re: DM's Round Robin Quads: Siege! [FULL]

we seem to have lost a playerm (nomads). If I tell someone the game numbers will they be able to join, or do you need to send out an invite?

Re: Offer a draw

and dont these conspiracies ignore the fact that you can do them anyway? eg from mybad
"A draw button could be abused. Say there are 4 high rankers and 4 low rankers in a game. 8 man standard, the four low ranks team up and kill the four high ranks and then call a draw. Doing so nets them each a lot ...

This depends on the map I think - in my experince big maps (world 2.1, hive) go to stalemate with escalators, small maps ...

Re: Offer a draw

ok, one more try - sounds quite easy to me to write some software that scans the results to look out for the same three players keep claiming stalemates together. One quick warning issued and that's that? In fact far easier to spot that than 3 players joining an 8 player game, wiping the others out ...

Re: Offer a draw

but wait ... you would only need the button when there are at least three players still in the game (you can't really get a stalemate with two players can you?). Would take a major conspiracy for three to gang up against one and they would soon get caught if they made a habit of it?

Re: Offer a draw

ahh, ok. though I guess if people want to cheat that's easy enough anyway, just do the same thing as you describe and take it in turns to win?

Offer a draw

I hate stalemates.
Can we have an "offer draw" button?
Any player still in the game has the right to offer a draw.
If all other players still in the game accept the offer, the games is over, victory points are calculated based on who has been knocked out/left in, and are shared equally (or weighted ...

Re: "I am away" option

I think this is a great idea.

I don't understand the objection "I'd prefer to miss turns" - it would only need to be an option. So you could decide to not tick the box and miss turns in the same way as we do now if you prefer.

It seems to me that all the players in a game would benefit from this ...
