Re: Jules Verne Contest [Team Finale Starts Soon!]

AT16

We have decided on USA and Nordic Countries

One of our silver players has two free spots and is working on the third. I believe we are ready for our first two games then.

We have gotten Pantheon to replace cj1990.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [Maps 3 to 9 ]

Actually, I just ran the numbers, if you do this then my score would be

(3+4+6+8+10)/5 = 6.2

I am four points away from fairman right now, this 6.2 puts me as the tourney winner.

I'm okay with this although perhaps fairman would want a say in the matter.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [Maps 3 to 9 ]

I'm so close just need four more points, aka bump one person from game 9401803 and I can tie for first :). Although Sam02 has a bunch of games still active.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [Act II Round 1 Maps 1-6]

I like the idea of splitting this up into a couple tournaments.

After this act there should only be 48 players so perhaps you can enforce a 4 game freemium rule?

Ditching or stand in players are not good solutions.

Also I'm ready for South America anytime.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [Act II Round 1 Maps 1-6]

I see that PNC doesn't have the free slot for game 9594938. It doesn't look like he is going to have one anytime soon can we move on without him? The game has been up for almost a week.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [ACT I - 1st Round]

I have two slots I'm ready for lunar war and the arctic. The objective on the lunar is just to hold 2 mares for 3 rounds? Sounds like a race! I like it.

Re: Jules Verne Contest [ACT I - 1st Round]

I play Nordic and Iceland right now, and I have 1 more free slot - for now :)
Just in the last few days, we're finally seeing some eliminations in the Nordic games. Maybe I'll try to get the next game going by Saturday.

I have a slot open right now (and I am also playing Nordic and Iceland), so ...

Re: Jules Verne Contest [ACT I - 1st Round]

Hi Dukasaur

I have 2 slots open for games, I was wondering if I should save them for this tournament or go ahead and find new games.

some work on dice statistics

Conquer Club will be unavailable for about 30 minutes at 5:00am CC Time for some work on dice statistics. Although we will add time to the countdown of all active games, you really should avoid taking turns or playing speed games around that time.
Does anyone else find this interesting?

Re: "High Quality Random Numbers" Data & Analysis

I don't think there is a problem with the overall number of battles won and lost. But I do think there is a problem with the standard deviation. I've had strange losing streaks and winning streak (more losing than winning).

Re: Tell me what the worst dice you have ever rolled were.

wow cc has been shafting me

I have the dice analyzer tool and here are my 3 v 2 stats

(win 2 1,1 lose 2)
29 / 23 / 44
My stats
(30.21% / 23.96% / 45.83%)
Fair Dice Probabilities
(37.17% / 33.58% / 29.26%)

A lot of them came from a 30 vs 3 auto assault in which I won with 3 left.

Re: S T A R C R A F T -- I I

You forgot the option: I think this is actually just a thinly veiled advertisement for Starcraft II.

It is sad to see that after 35 games in 5 months on CC though, that you wont be able to keep up that rigorous pace. I hope CC survives it. If you cut them in half, youll be at 3.5 per month ...

Re: S T A R C R A F T -- I I

Anyone who's played the game know if it's worth buying?

I'm just getting used to it right now. I played a couple me vs. computer maps and the gameplay was better than I expected. The campaign seems okay, nothing special of course I'm only a few levels into the Campaign. I think that it will be ...
