I'll agree that the die generator can get stuck and when it does it is painful, but the crushing defeats are always more memorable than the fantastic attacks.

When it happens, I have to remind myself of the 7 on 32 "last act of defiance" attack I did that was successful.

The whole deadbeating and losing no points sounds about spot on.

I didn't notice the terminator style when I joined a couple of alex_white101 games and that was what prompted the question after he had deadbeated the first turn.

Today I noticed he has 4 pages of 2 player games and on page 5 he ...

Or at least pull points from deadbeaters.

Circus Maximus I don't have an interest in trying again, even though I managed to pull off the escalating elimination win the one time I did.

I like AoM. Only took one full game to figure out the bonuses. Requires a lot of attention to detail ...

If it that important to you, there is are nifty devices like alarm clocks and mechanical timers that function nice and don't even require the computer to be turned on to work.

I could see eliminating the missed turn armies from a no card game since there would be no penalty for dead beating a turn to get a surprise mass attack in.

Missing turns in a card game means losing the advantage of bonus troops.

Of course if there was a skip turn option that allowed you ...

Since I can only play 4 at a time, I go with the generally quicker freestyle mostly now. Sitting in a chair hooked up to my chemo IV for hours at a time gives me a lot of time to surf the web.

And a realtime freestyle game can be nasty wicked fun.

I just wrapped up my first CM game and while doing some close plotting of moves I noticed that while the movement and attacks for players is counter clockwise, the teeny tiny little chariots appear to be racing clockwise.

So how many assassin games have you seen ended when somebody took out the wrong target.

I've both benefited and been dinged by it and I'm about ready to suggest that if somebody eliminates the wrong target that THEY take the loss and give up points to the other players.
