On the Conquer Man board, could somebody explain how the cupcake bonus works?

For whatever it's worth, the maps I have tried so far are Classic, Luxembourg, Archipelago, Canada, Arctic, Space, and the more complicated world map.

I have never played a fog of war game (or any game with "advanced" options) and I'm curious to try. Any recommendations for a good "beginner" fog of war board for around 4 single players?

Kick new recruits if they miss a single turn


Concise description:

Some people join the site and a game but never play a single turn.
This slows down the game for the other players.
If a new recruit has played less than a certain number of turns (3-5?), kick the new recruit from the game ...

How are points calculated at the end of the game? I browsed a few old games and saw that the 2nd to last player standing sometimes loses more points than other players. Why is this?
