Re: Can we remove this dumb Swedish chef talk from the site?

NO MORE FUN OF ANY KIND!

The game is fun enough already. Between this and the recent bug that prevented my newly-deployed troops from appearing, I'm tempted to cancel my premium membership and get a refund on the unused portion.

I guess the owner of this site figures he has enough money already ...

Re: The new bork bork bork, no more bob and annoying words

Anybody who can't figure out that "Seqooenteeel" means Sequential or that "Geme-a Feendur" means Game Finder is really not trying very hard. I mean seriously, can we please turn our bitching efforts to something of substance?

If you're a native English speaker, it's easy. But if you're not a ...

Re: Noo Munegimeet

Cute for a few words, but more than that is like telling a joke, then repeating the punch line endlessly. Please stop. It is work, not fun, trying to figure out what the words mean.

I agree. I don't know why every site in the world has to lose its senses on April 1st. What used to be a fun day ...

Can we remove this dumb Swedish chef talk from the site?

I know it's April Fool's Day and every site in the world thinks it must do something for it, but it's gotten confusing here. I can't imagine what it's like for people who are newbies or who speak English as a 2nd language (and aren't fluent).

If I get eliminated but my teammate wins, do I win too?

I am in a game in which I'm pretty much dead, but it would be better for our team if I just give my new deployment to my teammate so he can take a continent.

So, if I then die, but my teammate eventually goes on to win, do I get credit for the victory too? Thanks in advance!

Re: Dealing with irrational players?

I'm talking about games with lots of players, actually.

Yeah, I guess like Hannibal said the only thing you can really do about irrational players who screw up both your game and their own is to low-rate them and foe them. I guess over time that would have to improve things, since you're gradually ...

Dealing with irrational players?

Here's a common scenario:

There are three most-powerful players in the game: Player A, Player B, and you.

Basically, you have mutually-assured destruction set up where if Player A attacks you, then Player B will win because you and A are weakened so much. Or if Player B attacks you, Player A ...

Re: A Statistically-Balanced Classic Map?

@rdsrds2120: Thanks!

@Natty_dread: I don't expect this statistically-balanced classic map to replace the classic map in any way, shape, or form. It would simply an alternative map for the small percentage of players who might want to reduce the role of luck in the game and increase the role of ...

A Statistically-Balanced Classic Map?

There seems to be a three main issues with the Classic Map:
1. Australia has a lopsided advantage
2. Europe is hard (actually, damn near impossible) to defend.
3. South America doesn't quite get enough troops in a long, drawn-out game.

I would have to run the numbers to get the exact statistical ...
