I hope this might be the answer, right mow it seems to me that it's better to stay on the bases rather than move around, and when you get enough troops you go for the south pole and take down who instead went out for territories.

or maybe what can be done is to reduce the 3 troops minimum standard ...

Am I right that if you loose your bases you are eliminated?

couldn't it be changed to something a little bit smoother like:
without bases your territories with one troops become neutral or
without bases you accrue one troop only every two territory on the same region?

Sorry Gillpig,
personally I'm a bit against this, since it is going to be an huge advantage for the attacker, especially with large maps. you could wipe out an entire continent without loosing almost troop (eg start from Thailand wipe out Asia end your turn in India and reinforce back Thailand ...

Thank you for your input.
Remember you accrue 1 extra roll every 10. it's about 10% of the rolls, not really endless.
if we review this ratio and make it 1 every 30, and it would make 3%, even less.
Based on my limited experience, a limited number of games get to have 100 units ...

sure, a game by game accrual, you cannot carry it over between games
and sure, an option to select when you create a game - I mean, you can keep it as it is now if don't want it

let's say you accrue 1 extra dice every ten you roll and have have an example.

Attacker got 7 troops his her enemy 5.

Actually what I had in mind was something pointless for the game itself, but funny; I believe you got the point.

It could maybe be started with a straight average, or evolve in something more significant (as the deviation of the results from the odds).

basically you both are saying that this is not an accurate measure, and I agree with you about this.

its usage should not be to build up special expectations or to classify players.

However on average for various players could be meaningful - I mean, better than nothing

You are right, still there are people checking the site and playing all their games 3-4 times a day and others one only.
I am not saying who is going to have an high average is going to be better or worse of somebody with a low average.
