Godwinson is heavily underrated - if the shieldwall hadn't broken to chase Normans (wether through indiscipline or a cunning ruse will always be a debate), then he'd probably have been the second English King to be known as the Great - after all, marching the length of the country, defeating an army ...

Possibly a daft question, but surely once a multi is busted, the account is locked, so just change the password immediately - yes it creates 24 hour delays, but could force deadbeating without writing any new programming immediately, and guarantees the nulti cant win any games.

Crusades are a very poor example, they were about land and wealth, and the "useful" outlet of the excess landless nobility - not faith - to the vast, vast majority.

Go look up the numbers of converts to both sides, mercenaries, and those who changed allegiance more than once. Religion played very ...

I should add that the loyalty of the French armies, the Code Napolean etc shows Napolean's abilities as one of historys greatest leaders, just not one of historys greatest Generals!

Well, the quote comes from the Peninsula campaign I believe, and I was referencing his whole career.

In my eyes, Napolean started brilliantly, but when his original methods were countered, proved unable to find a new way to win, and continued to use tactics that had been defeated time and again ...

I have a Question for you...

Who declared war on who to give official beginning on WWII?

Well the first to declare war was Japan on China in 1936 or 1934 I can't remember, then it was Germany on France.

Not true. Great Britain and France declared war on Germany after it invaded Poland on 3rd ...

I'd counter that he was fine until a counter was found to the column, after which, as Wellington put it, "They came on in the same old fashion, and we saw them off in the same old fashion" (paraphrasing, can't remember the exact quote). I should've added the word unneccessary to my original post.

True, but you have to consider just how much a bible literalist has invested in his/her belief.

You have to question their education, as anyone with a knowledge of language can tell you where there are phrases proven by other contemporary works to be symbolic (probably a better word for it ...

I chose the firing squad cause it's quick and relativly painless. You stand there with you eys closed and 10 people shoot you in the head. Hanging, you suffocate if you neck doesn't break, gas chamber, you just suffocate, and btownmeggy explained lethal injection, with the electric chair, you have ...

Hey Paddy!

It was Oklahoma that had the firing squad kill the guy... Err, guy chose the firing squad...

He changed his mind at the last second, though... He was doing it on 'moral grounds'

Timothy McVey was gonna do the same thing, and for some reason the judge refused his request.

Really ...
