Very poor judgement by whoever decided to make this change. Changes should always be tested prior to implementation. This change caused radical problems with Bob so that it is basically unusable until it is corrected. The change should be deleted until it can be made without such disastrous results ...

it really helps in thinking about playing a map and actually playing it to know the starting positions available, the number of starting positions, and the value of the neutrals.

This is most easily accomplished by displaying a neutral map. Then stating the number of starting regions, and where ...

maybe at the beginning of this thread you could leave a stating position map for all the region values
