While taking a break from making this map I had a a hardware problem that lost all of my working assets. since I would have to start this map over pretty much from scratch I would like to know if there is enough demand.

Please leave a comment if you still want to see this map completed.

I think you may have to combine some of the smaller islands in the light blue continent; otherwise, you will have no space for army circles/terreitory names.

yeah I was planing on that. the group of 3 and group of 4 will be contained as single territories. it was like this on the older map I ...

Update

After playing with the borders for a while and changing things subtly I was still just seeing the original map so I flipped it. This doesn’t change anything game play wise but for me at least makes it look much less like the original.

Other then that I made some more subtle changes as ...

I have CS2. I don't kno wif this works in 7. Just make a text layer and Crtl+T. This (for me in CS2) puts the transform box around the text and lets me move it.

hmm... must be a new feature then, dang leaving things vector while working out the kinks would really save some time. I should look ...

They are all still vector based. SInce I made them small Photoshop for some reason is messing them up. I guess rotating a small font 2 degrees makes it weird. Once the names settle down I will rasterize the layers and fix the text issue.

A bit off topic but how did you get the names to rotate ...

Well, I don’t think there is a problem with getting moderator comments on a map. The people here in the foundry give back a lot of comments so as long as the map is progressing I think that’s fine.

The only problems I could see is that the developmental atlas seems to be missing a lot of maps that ...

Ok I just thought of a map that could be fun in theory. A map based on the princess bride. Territories can include the fire swamps, the cliffs of insanity, eel infested waters, the Pit of Despair and full continents for florin and gilder.

Heres an example of a map of the future...

Maybe take some advice from that. Maybe it can help. Otherwise i love the map. great idea was thinking about it myself.

and to respond to DiM's comment, it has to deal with areas closet to the ice caps as well.

I don't know. that map doesn't make ...

I don’t think any change in game play is necessary. The game feels pretty balanced to me and that is more important then trying to base bonuses on story relevance.

World after global warming

So I have an interesting idea for a map. World after global warming. Take a world topographical map and increase the ocean level to its predicted height after the glaciers melt. I would throw together a map for this to see what it would look like but I can’t find good detailed topographical maps to ...

Honestly with this option I might play doubles. At the moment I stay away from them for fear of being pitted up against a team of seasoned doubles players and me getting stuck with a deadbeat or just someone who doesn’t want to do anything to help each other and plays it as if he were solo (happened ...

You’re missing an ocean. As of 2006 all water under 60° S latitude is considered the southern ocean and not part of the Atlantic, Pacific or Indian oceans. But that’s just nit picking

Sadly in copyrights getting no response means no most of the time. In this case it might be more complicated as they could be genuinely considering it, but it is hard to place who has rights over the content of the map. I could see very good arguments for both the Anime and the Manga (and they ...
