Re: How do people outside the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving?

Here in Spain, they make all their dishes into effigies of American presidents past and present (Bush is generally the centrepiece).
After an elaborate ceremony in which each dish is carved, chopped mashed and generally hacked at by all, the resulting meal is eaten and heartily washed down with a ...

How do people outside the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving?

I was wondering what the cultural differences around the world in celebrating Thanksgiving were? Is it as festive as in the United States? I wonder how people in countries like Iran and China celebrate Thanksgiving due to our current differences. There is no question that the United States is the ...

Re: Declining activity on the site??

I think a series of events have led to the slow down of CC.

1. Wicked ordeal - Say what you want but many people do not want drama.
2. Farming - Say what you want again, but people like to win sometimes.. many get frustrated and leave.
3. Classic map 2 times over hauled - People do not like ...

Re: Crazy Maps And Dice?

I did a bit of research... I am after all on the internet and I found this:
http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/2005/12/hasbro-puts-end-to-google-maps-risk.html Perhaps CC received a similar letter for Hasbro.

Further research Tells me that you can't copyright a game. Neither the ...

Cronus, everyone uses the roads, even those that don't. Re: What over-simplified grouping describes your political views

I consider myself a pragmatic libertarian. Government is a necessary evil. We need police, firemen, a military, and a judicial system. I do however believe we could cut government in half or so and be much better off.
Add education to that list, and I'd almost agree with you. And infrastructure; I ...

Re: What over-simplified grouping describes your political views

Exactly. If anarchy were ever somehow achieved, it would collapse upon itself like a vacuum. The richest man in the region would in many cases hire a large group of people to take control over areas, so that they can exert greater control over their world... and no amount of shotgun-wielding ...

74 but I have gone 100+ before. I think my record is around 120. Most of my games though rarely have more than 1 turn a day and involve 6 to 8 people. Only as the games come toward a conclusion am I getting multiple rounds per day in.

hardcore libertarians wouldn't even bother voting as voting is an admission of state control.

If there is no state, then there are no civil institutions to use for the betterment of society at large. Meaning, a world ruled by rich fat cats and the mob (both sences of the term).

Obviously these are over-simplifications. Just choose the closest. As for the definitions of the chosen groups, they are drawn from the Nolan Chart variation as seen here.

actually just go to gamefinder, and search all active public games and start with the oldest and he appears to have done hundreds if not thousands of spams
