I rehashed about 12 old threads over 2 days ago..
since then.. only 3 threads that were not part of he ones I rehashed have had any activity .... & only 13 threads other than the ones I rehashed have had any activity in the past 3 weeks..
hilarious how revealing me doing that is.. showing just how dead this Conquer Club Discussions forum really is..

I don't want to argue how the forums are the place to be, because they aren't. However your necrobumping example isn't the best one. I believe I am not the only one who is generally turned off by an old thread coming back to life. "Oh no not this shit again" often comes to my mind. Unless there is something really interesting and new, a thread should die a natural death.
The real test is the creation of new threads and this is where the general failure can be clearly evident. Even threads that don't die wind up with mutual name calling. Honestly I think the next name for off topics should be "Pee Wee Herman's Playhouse" because most threads collapse into "I know you are but what am I?"
And it's not any better in the other forums either.

I have not weighed in on this thread since I started it. I have to say that it does seem to have helped to alleviate the the divisiveness in global chat that prompted me to initiate it. The forums are are much more appropriate venue for the types of issues that inspire heated debate. Global chat is a place that should be fun and welcoming to new members. I would like to recognize Nomadpatriot for the restraint he has exercised in Global chat and his efforts to keep these forums active.
