That's bullshit. You've been listening to Bill O' Reilly too much.Tyr wrote:i dont think so. most often the supporters of a popular overthrow by the wroking poor is supported by young idealistic upper class liberals
Communism is full of ambition. Just listen to your government and learn rhetoric...RobinJ wrote:Communism does not work - simple as that. The ideas of Karl Marx were much too idealistic. In a perfect world where everyone is nice to everyone else, communism would work a treat. But because humans are humans, we have ambitions and want to be better than others. It is better that we have some structure in society. There is also a great problem with jobs. Why be a doctor, or some other higly qualified profession, when you can get the same return for being a binman or whatever. (No offence to binmen - they do a job most of us would never do and for that I admire them - but it does not require any form of qualifications or learning).
The USSR proved that communism does not work. It was only often united because of the fear and intimidation it was ruled by. Communism and facism are opposites but if you look at Stalin and Hitler - they led very similar lives, because all either wanted was complete power (which, ironically, is completely against the ethics of communismm.)
Tell that to all the people who have to work 10 hours a day to keep themselves fed. Or the people who have to leave school to get a job to keep themselves and their dependants from starving.Tyr wrote:
it doesnt disadvantage anyone hard work is rewarded by prosperity lower classes dont see a barrier between upper and lower classes they see a bridge
Yep. My mom emigrated away from China to the US. Ever since then, she's been struggling to get a job. The bastards won't take her. She went to college, but ran out of money. We live in a lousy apartment and I'm fucking pissed (she's been dating men who mentally abuse her to a man who smokes a lot).Neutrino wrote:Tell that to all the people who have to work 10 hours a day to keep themselves fed. Capitalism only really benifits those with extraordinary talents, good luck, or the right parents. For anyone else, it's an uphill struggle.
Perhaps you haven't taken a walk in my shoes. My mom yells at me for no reason because she filled with so much stress, she's a loose cannon. Capitalism sucks.Tyr wrote:lifes not easy its not meant to be and i have all to much expierience with lower class struggles i dont need a lecture on it
Then why do you say things which are blatantly incorrect?Tyr wrote:lifes not easy its not meant to be and i have all to much expierience with lower class struggles i dont need a lecture on it
but what is the real freedom (to you, for start)?mybike_yourface wrote:all government is much the same in my eyes. i want real freedom.

Plus a whole bunch of stuff in this and the "america" thread that's lacking in empirical evidence at best...Tyr wrote:

Capitalism is bound to screw people over. Canada is the only good example of Capitalism I see. When an incompetent president takes over, we're screwed (to a small extent so far), but when a good one takes over we prosper. The majority cannot be trusted at times to pick their own leaders.Tyr wrote:i dont need a sob story either i got plenty of my own but its not capitilism that makes your life hard theirs probaly something else also, a divorce lack of schooling, alcholism, drug problem. you cant blame your problems on capitalism
and then they will become the oppresive proletariat. they'll have to create a more repressive society than existed before because of the power vacuum their revolution will create. so with the supposed intention of a more free society, communist have always created a less free more restrictive society. marx understood this, but he could never face the fact that communist society wouldn't leave this stage into the essentially anarchist society he predicted would happen later.Chris7He wrote:One day the proletariat will over throw the oppresive capitalists.
that's because democracy is the tyrany of the majorityTyr wrote:it doesnt matter if the majority is trusted or not a majority vote always wins thats the way it works if 6 out of ten want to make prostitution legal its gonna be legal doesnt matter if its right or not
What about the 00' election when a majority was overruled by the electoral college.Tyr wrote:it doesnt matter if the majority is trusted or not a majority vote always wins thats the way it works if 6 out of ten want to make prostitution legal its gonna be legal doesnt matter if its right or not
Here have the 'Not understanding what somebody cleverer than you was saying' medal, you've really deserved it...Tyr wrote:by definition its not tyranny
