What then? Believe him? From what you quoted, you shouldn't even believe that guy, even if he is the real Jesus.
Well this is kind of close, when it happens no one will doubt regardless of their faith or knowledge of the Christ.
Every knee shall bow,
every tounge shall confess. There's also some stuff about, "Just like lightning happens in the west, seen in the east."
So when he comes back we'll all knotice.

No, but I agree what he said can and most likely was interpreted that way.
What he said is "no one knows the exact time except the father."
The rest of what he said was meant to cause people to be a little worried and prevent us from getting lazy knowing that you're safe and get a free ticket to heaven because Jesus invited everyone.
It doesn't work sometimes because we are so naturally lazy, it's easier to just hang out an wait or better yet argue about what the bible says instead of doing the important part and loving each other.
