If this is to work we need to keep the community involved. medals or other rewards could be a good solution for this.AndyDufresne wrote:When we were in the initial stages of planning for the next feedback system, we did consider the idea of having "community moderation." But I believe we steered away for it for the time being because we weren't sure if "enough of the community would actually do it." Who comes here to play games, and who comes here to moderate feedback?

another possible solution would be to post for example 3 comments to rate on the top of the user's my games page. this would put the opportunity right out in front of the user and would solve the problem of "I'm not going out of my way to mod feedback" and would keep the mod system moving at a fast pace as the whole community would be exposed to it.
how do you guys feel about this?
hehe, you know, i think you would be surprised, a hell of a lot of the posters here don't even play games but post on a game related site? It amazes me.. but web-communities are so much more than just one thing.Who comes here to play games, and who comes here to moderate feedback?

I've decided to let this thread die now.
Good-bye, Jimmy!
judging by the votes, klobber is on the losing side yet again !KLOBBER wrote::::yawn:::
That would be true if the 72 people who have even bothered to vote on this idea held any authority in the decision-making process, which they do not.hulmey wrote:judging by the votes, klobber is on the losing side yet again !KLOBBER wrote::::yawn:::

All the other people on the planet, besides those 72, have absolutely zero interest in this lame idea, which will NEVER be implemented.

There was a need for two threads as they were in different forums. Unlike the thread that started this stupid feedback change, we would like this poll to be seen by as many people as possible. Usually, nobody comes to this forum unless they have a problem or bug to report.wicked wrote:No need for two of these threads... Topics merged.
Yes it does if you want it to actually be seen by people! If you don't change it back, I'm going to start up a new one myself. This kind of "sweep it under the rug" junk is even more annoying than the comment-less ratings system.wicked wrote:The same thread doesn't need to be posted in two separate forums. Just ask the map people.
well can it be left in General were more people can see it please?wicked wrote:The same thread doesn't need to be posted in two separate forums. Just ask the map people.
