You are about to enter a group that will take weeks to make a map, I'm sure you can wait a few more days for the group to be created.

Pork if your working on my calender map i'd like to help with gameplay and how about who's initial idea it was gets the badge? Then (if were succesful) when someone has missed out on a badge (and contributed to the map) and everyone else has one they get it that time? sound fair?

I wouldn't sweat that. Great map ideas are not exactly an endangered species, and in fact exponentially outnumber the sorts of talented cartographers that could properly give them life.

We weren't "chucking him out", he asked to be left out if we were doing that particular map.

I think that just about everyone that wants in, WILL be included.
I just don't want any butt-heads, like we see in the foundry. By that I mean, We will actually work as a team to produce maps, NOT hinder them with needless hoop jumping and ring kissing.

Idea 3: Hogwarts Castle - BIG birds-eye-view of Hogwarts and it's Grounds. Rooms are territories. - Hagrids Hut, Main Hall, Forbidddon forest, Chamber of Secrets, Quiditch Pitch... the possibilities are endless.

There is a discworld map so I'm sure this is possible.

Yes indeedy, The calendar idea is in fact one of the ideas that I have already taken to photoshop. Just trying to work out how it might be layed out. I want to hit the ground running when we get our room. Calendar, will be among our first projects, It has much promise, and I predict that it will be a hit.

i had this idea a while ago surprised i forgot about it i was thinking more along the lines of a mauraders map style of it and was wondering who owned rights to mauraders map shown in film warner bros or J.K.Rowling it would be a lot easier to get righs of it off of J.k though but still next to impossible hope this goes through i'm a big harry potter fan

I think The Map Machine is an excellent place to discuss maps...

I do not see what the big fuss is all about. We are only discussing the topic of this tread. If it is in the wrong place, please move it as you see fit. The needless scolding about location is not productive. It is only evidence to the lack of the managements priorities, and goes to what they think is important. I could NOT care less "where" this thread is located, as long as we can continue our discussion.

As an outside observer, I'm quite interested in seeing what you guys eventually do with the Calendar idea. I think that has tremendous potential.

Alright I will explain, this is just a formality thread. A new vlan is being launched soon and we will discuss there but anyone who makes the first post befoe me will be booted, not because I have to make the first post but I need to set something up first

I'm sure people can apply, just doesn't mean they'll be asked to join. That's my interpretation.
