Not really... he doesn't fall as fast as he used to, which could be an insta-death for any Fox that went off the edge and didn't notice (hey, it can happen). He was so good compared to anyone else in Melee, now that they've nerfed him he's only a tiny bit better.

(Although the characters are more balanced overall like in the original now.)

Really, I can't think of a time someone beat me with Fox. He was easy to kill if you knew how.

You must've never played someone on an equal skill level with you (using Fox). If they knew how to use him correctly, he should have won a fair share of the matches. (That's why he's at the top of the tier list -- so abusable.)

Fox isn't a serious character for me, but I know how to use him. I've played people who have used him since the original, but since they don't know how to really make the most of him, I usually win.

When I said beat I meant "beat me more often that other people" ofcourse.

I found Fox to be more annoying in the first game then the second though.

I used to think he was too (more annoying/better in SSB), but after playing people with actual skill using him, I've changed my mind. He's just too far ahead of most other characters...

-Second-fastest
-Up-smash and uair are killer moves (death at 60 %)
-Shine= arguably best move in game (reflects, stalls in air, *spikes*)
-Blaster can add ridiculous damage each match

I believe you're right. I haven't actually played many people who used shine, which leads me to believe they didn't know how to play Fox.
