As to where to put my vote at this point... I really don't know. I disagree with just voting someone at random (as has already been said), but I don't necessarily fault those who followed what streaker said, since at least it was something to do. With presumably all these secret talks going on, not much is in the main thread, and since I'm not in any active Quickthreads, I really don't have anything much to vote on.

Mod, you said the deadline would be in "about 1 week" 1 week and 1 day ago... when is the actual deadline?

My idea is utterly brilliant. I'm not pushing a random lynch. The difference between lynch and pressure is that in 1 of the 2, someone gets killed. If there is no talk at all in this thread, then how can we EVER get to a consensus? There is no deadline. Worst case scenario, someone has to claim and maybe there is something in that claim that can help us.

Actually, that's entirely my problem with the suggestion. What you're suggesting is nonpressure. It's based on an RNG, not any tangible source of scuminess. If it were me who the RNG picked, how am I supposed to react? Do I offer a claim? Why should I? Because randomness said so? I suppose it's a bit moot seeing as it was kind of bait, but it goes towards how bad an idea it is I guess...

Back onto QTs, several people have express that they aren't in one. I'm curious as to why. Are they inherently not trusted? Is it just an unintentional forming of cliques (and I kinda hope it isn't this)? Are they lying and they actually ARE in QTs (in which case, they should be called out)?

Deadline will most likely be tomorrow at 0:00 EST (25.5 hours from the time of this post). I tend to not enforce deadlines incredibly, instead I am accustomed to allowing the town as long as they want to reach a consensus, but I agree it's getting a bit long.

To the people who moan about not being in a QT, I have one suggestion: start your own, send invites to a couple of people and hope they join you. If you're unhappy afterwards you can always leave and start a new one. It doesn't matter whether the people you invite are town or mafia, nobody has enough information on day one to make that distinction. We'll worry about that by day three or so.

Not really. Your purist intentions may be nice and heroic and all, but it's not realistic. The reality is, the only guy who can make the QT you want is a town cop and he can only do that after N1. Waiting around for that to happen is boring.

its a few other things. In particular how you reacted to streaker. The reaction, was really strong, for such a little thing streaker was doing.

Now for this bullshit attack from Streaker, followed up by a call for random lynch. It's bullshit.

So context for this, this was made right after streaker decided to start pushing a random lynch.

Before this, aage has been trying to slow down streaker several times. Once in the qt, for condemning the actions of streaker/crasp for trying to collect town wincons. Are they trying to find town this way? Or is this mafia trying to secure their role pms? The response is aage wanting to post a town wincon publicly. This seems strange, since i can't see how it would help anyone if its posted publicly. If it is, and they or 1 of streaker/crasp is mafia, they get what they wanted. If they are town, then aage crushes the plan. Both results seem to only benefit aage some way, (trying to buy himself town credit)

The next thing of note is streaker push on doom, and aage defending the push.

So, i think streaker does a good job trying to scum hunt. Brings up a few good points, the inactivity, the lack of pressuring someone / scumhunting on doom's part, the majority of dooms talk being mechanics etc. This is good insight imo. aage comes flying out in defense of streakers push.

Doom had all ready defend himself, decent responses, and since then he has been a lot more active, and pushing people.

back to aage, his deal is weird, I'm not sure what he is talking about with doom being right. Since streaker push imo isn't about doom being right or wrong, streaker does comment on the posts being good. Yet his point isn't about the quality, but the lack of hunting for scum. So aage, isn't even defending doom, its more of a blind defense trying to throw down streaker.



On to streaker and his randomness

streaker used random push to create discussion, it isn't scummy (this is most likely accurate, considering the slow pace of the game )
a scum wouldn't push this, because its bad (also the lack of discussion, means the scum doesn't have to do much, so no reason to expose themselves)
a scum would be more likely to just sit by and not care, just coment on things not push (again, no reason to create something useful for town, rather much easier to sit back and let things not happen)
the act of streaker creating something to push is town (this is very town, he is creating discussion, he is getting the game moving this is pro town)
even if random lynching is poor
the motivation from streaker is town imo

Again, this makes no sense. Don't you see it's not about being realistic? I'll tell you the reality: there 'might' be a deadline tomorrow. I'm trying to get a fire going while it's pooring.
It's not even completely about making a Town only QT, it's to see how people react to it.

If there is a Town cop and he gets a decent result tomorrow, his first task is to make a QT, yes. This is the only part that makes sense, but you shouldn't be bringing this up even.

The wagon is real. As witness to this QT mess between aage and Storr, Storr's been acting weird all game (and by that I mean not even like Storr) and is totally overanalyzing aage's actions (that's the scenario where he's town, and I'm not confident in that at all).
