IB mentioning lynch all liars(pushing a "policy" lynch) seems a bit strange to me.
However IB and I disagree on the value of such a policy and i can understand his frustration with dakkys claim so i cant read very much into it.
As to dakky=jester i really doubt it.
If theres 1 thing dakky knows its how to get lynched D1.

Dakky was scum in 2/3 of the last games that i was involved with but thats not really the point.
Of course its the jokevote stage so im far from certain he is scum but that comment was strange,he seemed to be trying to downplay the scene "subtly" and it seemed like enough reason to give him a push and see how he reacts.
His reaction doesnt really do much for me and id consider him for a claim later but theres lots of time here.

The chance is proportional to the town:mafia ratio. This game is this game, and using trends from past games as evidence is a gambler's fallacy. Also, just getting this out now, I'm hoping your proof isn't early claiming (especially since claiming really wouldn't accomplish much in this game, I think).

Well, you're reading me wrong this time. If/when I'm lynched, you will learn more of my play style. Thought I had enough games already so you can see when I'm lying and when I'm not.

If you're aware of your tell, it stops being an effective tell for other players. I'm not sure that overreacting D1 is an effective play style, though you have become the center of discussion, so if that was your aim, then kudos.

On the other hand, metsfanmax and pcm have posted a combined total of 0 times since opening post. You fail to mention them.

Dakky's doing what dakky does, but I'm not sure I like the attention that's staying on him. Also not sure I agree with the read of him softclaiming the vig - it sounds more like he decided to roll with Wing's read of his softclaim, then tries to backpedal by saying his role isn't that useful. Shouldn't everyone's plan right now be to kill mafia?

Right now, I'm liking IB, I'm liking strike, and I'm liking Streaker. Strange as this sounds, I'm not sure I like Wing's attempt to steer conversation away from dakky - feels more like he's trying to end discussion early instead of letting it peter away. I think watching how people react to something and how long they focus on it can be pretty telling, and why not let dakky be that thing? Instead of cutting discussion on it, look at people's reactions to it. I'm not sure if this is Wing being manipulative, or Wing being well-meaning. I always have a hard time reading Wing D1. Not liking pcm's absence, and I didn't even realize mets was in this game.

I'm not liking benga - seems to be joking around just to fit in, and is also ignoring people's reactions to what's going on with dakky. Town would be paying attention and "making lists", but scum wouldn't need to. Of anyone, I'd say he's my top pick for mafia right now.

The frustration in his post against dakky is why I'm townreading him, both the frustration at the bad play and the frustration in trying to figure out if that play makes him town or scum.

I find it hard to believe mafia would just claim vig for noreason BUT if you are Town and telling the truth just do so instead of acting all coy that you may be lying to try and smooth over a stupid play.

Anyways thats all I am going to say about that. So far I dont like all of the equations this early in the game. Retarded to try and guess which way things will go with number of mafia/other factions/ and townsfolk. I say we focus on the scum hunting. That being said, a little upset I missed the joke vote stage, alas thats what I get for not checking back in right away.

On another note, does it ever help town to claim this early in the game?Im trying to understand why someone would do it...or is this a wasted question? I can see why under duress it might make sense to claim but thats about it. After reading dakky's post been reading through the wiki and there are a few places where it suggests a claim just not for Vig.

Not in the way it was done, but a D1 massclaim can sometimes break a setup and can benefit town. I don't feel like it's the best play for this game, though. I did watch a video once where the vig claimed first thing D1, but it was a 1-shot vig in an open setup, and was bluffing that he would take the shot N1. So I suppose there could be a place for early claiming D1, but a) only in open/semi-open setups, and b) depending on context.
