8 and 16 bit should definitely be seperated, there's as much difference between them as there is between N64/PS1/Saturn and Gamecube/PS2/Xbox.

Plus there's everything that came before the Nes, prior to the crash of the videogame market. From Pong to the Nes is a big step. You're lumping everything prior to the PS1 into one generation and that's just not cool. It should be at least 3:

Pre-Nes
Nes/Master System etc. (8 bit)
Snes/Megadrive(Genesis) etc.(16 bit)

Also mildly interesting question, which generation does the dreamcast belong to?

We went from arguing which system was to best, to saying the N64 was better than PS2/Xbox/Gamecube/Dreamcast, any of that generation's console. Then we argued what generation of consoles that was, finally settling on 6th. Now we're saying how Fircoal fails in life.

Back on topic I still say sony has made the most SYSTEM advancments since the Xbox blew through with its sweet graphs. So im stickin with sony since they strive to keep upgradin. And for those of you saying nintendo isnt only for kids, ive EGM even says that most of nintendoes gamers are young kids-teens or older adults. Sony came into the market for the more teen-adult. EGM did an article on it actually...idk when but i remember readin it

Did nintendo create the proccessor PS3 has? Did it design anything CLOSE to the PS3? Did nintendo make a internet browser capable game system(That i heard during the late development of the system so im assuming its capable)?
