Isolationist might not be the best term to use in this case.
Non-interventionist is more like it. Dr. Paul is a fan of the "Commerce with all nations, alliances with none" quote from Thomas Jefferson.
He has said that the only isolationist nations are those who impose embargoes and sanctions. That would be us right now.

Ron Paul will make America Smarter!!!!
Im happy Ron Paul is running for president! in fact by his running for office it opens up the opportunity for our great country to raise its IQ rate.
How? you ask, well on election day whenever someone puts an X next to Ron Pauls name a poll volunteer takes them out back and puts a bullet in their brain! This eliminates another moron and thus raises our national IQ.
Did Ron Paul get his doctorate from the "Flat Earth Society"? He's a Doctor like Al Sharpton is a Reverend.

Ross Perot put Bill Clinton and all his garbage in the Oval Office by splitting the Republican ticket.
Ron Paul is just another attempt to do so and put Billary back in there. A vote for him is just as good as a vote for her.
They are all horrible selections, but if she gets elected . . . it will be a disaster just wait and see.
I, for one, could go the rest of my life without socialized medicine. The system is bad enough now. All it would do would be to create mediocrity for everyone. Which admittedly, is an improvement for some, but at everyone else's cost.

Hilary will not be the democratic elect. You'll see.

The only one I actually like is Obama. (But then again I don't know too many democratic candidates.)
He also has a decent chance of being the democratic candidate.

Ron Paul is the only one that can beat Hillary, period.

Okay. So who will? Some of the African-American community are already calling Obama an "Uncle Tom" and he seems to be falling back while Edwards moves up.

Obama wants to invade Pakistan and he does not wear a flag lapel pin...that is enough for most Americans to draw a bias towards...not to mention Obama's middle name is Hussein and his dad was a Muslim. Personally, I like Obama, but I think these certain issues, as trifle and discriminatory as they sound, will not land him the Dem nom. HillBillyBush will get the Dem Nom, because Hillary wants to continue with The War, therefore...Bush wants her to win and has already began preparations for turning the White House to her...a vote for Hillary is a vote to continue on with the same war policy.
And Ron Paul is running on the Republican ticket...he has told us he will not seek a third party if he fails with the Republicans. So how that constitutes a vote for Hillary is beyond me?
Vote Ron Paul! (if you are Republican)

I was actually commenting on Xtra's apparent belief that we are all trapped in the matrix. Therefore, unless Ron Paul is better known as Neo, he isn't really going to be able to achieve anything, since we'll be imagining this entire civilization.
P.S. Change your avatar. Something that makes sence would be best.

Yes. Yes it is. There is no possible way Xtra the Great could be incorrect.

Not really...
It would probably help if you'd read the book/watched the movie...
Because I have learnt that clicking any links from you is a severe waste of time.
Anyone who got kicked out of the crazy conspiracy theorists groups for being too crazy and conspiracy-theory obsessed is probably not someone you'd want to talk too...

While I don't think the "no alliances" part of non-intervention is too bad, I don't support the implied "we don't give a crap about the rest of the world" feel to non-intervention.
As long as the trade with important partners continues smoothly, you won't care what happens to everyone else...
Also, I don't see how imposing embargoes is an isolationist activity.
Sure, you're limiting trade with a single or group of countries, but presumably they did something worthy of embargo-ation: you'd maintain full trade with everyone else.
In fact, it is the exact opposite of isolationist, because you are taking an interest in the world around you.

You will soon see a different light in the future, my freind. Your sick attempt at sadistic humor only shows your own deep insecurities. Truth is always scoffed at and then opposed with violence...and then...it is accepted. Ron Paul is a believer in peaceful opposition through civil disobedience. And I don't know that Ron Paul or his staff have ever made violent irreprehensible remarks upon anyone. Your statement is sheer and utter idiocy with a strong helping of ignorance.
And though these words are probably wasted on you: Vote Ron Paul!

You are either NOT American.
Or you ARE a liberal
I have to admit...it does take some intelligence to "get it" hint.....look at the different colors. If you still don't get it, its a lost cause. (Just pretend you don't see it)

I don't listen to Commie Liberals who enjoy Big Government and Smaller Liberties for the People! I am sorry, your cause falls upon deaf ears. And advocating silencing The People through execution is definitely not my style, but I can see that coming from a Commie Liberal Preacher like yourself. Wait for Russia to reform the Soviet Union and make the decision to move out of the USA quickly, please. As for me, I will be trying to reform the UnitedStates back to its founding principles, and if I die or am murdered while trying, so be it. At least I know where I stand. Your immature Communistic rant well be put aside when you get older Rev, and you will see that what I say is actually right.
And again, though it is wasted upon you, I will exude the caloric effort to type it despite your obvious naivity and ignorant beliefs: Vote Ron Paul!

Yeah, I love Ron Paul! I'll be voting for him.
*Unless*, when the primaries get to Texas, Huckabee obviously has a chance and Paul does not. In that case I'd vote for Huckabee, as he's my second choice.
