Well, I get the principle - if you're town, vote to lynch Mafia, if you're mafia vote to lynch town (and murder town at night if possible). I get that there's specials and night/day actions etc attached to roles, but again I assume you're told about those and how they work via PM - as I said, I think my biggest problem would be making a convincing false claim, purely due to not knowing how the roles are likely to work/what they're likely to be... But then I might no have to do that anyway...

Anyone who hangs around and tries to read games before playing has good potential in my book. That's how I pwned noobs as scum in my first games
Don't worry too much about roles and fakeclaims, many mods come up with new ones every game anyway, and for the classics you can learn while playing =)

Don't be a cinic, every player starts as a new player. Also, there have been a few good newcomers lately: Talapus, Gimpy, Sierra Leon (in the games I played with him he has been very active).
