That's the problem with new posters; you can never tell whether they're being sarcastic or actually believe some of the crap they spout...

That was a miracle by God. God parted the Red Sea when Moses lifted his staff. No dam involved here.
Prove it without using your Bible that it actually happened.
How about I prove it. I've heard of a volcano erupted several hundreds of miles away. It destroyed a civilization and was somehow connected to the river. The blood of all of those people went down the river turning it into blood. This cannot be a coincidence if this valcano story is true..
Blood burns, buddy, it's an organic molecule. It becomes a scab-like substance when the water from the cells and the plasma evaporates. It's not like blood was everywhere after the incident in Pompeii...

FYI I was talking about parting the red sea. Seeing as how jay can't provide any evidence whatsoever, I'll assume he conceded, which he obviously didn't.
Sorry about that, I thought of that instead. All well,...

If you listen to Bible Coders...Hillary is going to be the next president and is referred to as "The Whore of Babylon". I think that Bible Code stuff is just seeing what you want...though there has been studies done, but I am not sure to what extent. I don't know, if the Bible Code is for real, how did it come about? Does it have something to do with the I-Ching system of divination?

Ok, now you've lost me: How again did Alexander then proceed to conquer Persia and eastwards to the Indus if the Euphrates would have stopped him?

This was a blunder alright.

Who the hell is this uber-n00b, and what is he talking about? Is he being serious and trying to type coherent prose? Or is he just randomly thumping his keypad against his bedroom wall like some kind of wiffle-board so that random letters come out?

Considering the number of quite major passages in the Bible that are open to interpretation (Thou Shalt Not Kill is actually Thou Shalt Kill If Thou Can Get The Government To Declare That It's Ok, apparently) I don't see how you get to declare this one to be completely literal.

Nope. Thou shall not kill means, thou shall not kill.

What about war?
I can't remember if it was you or not, but one of the Christian debaters here declared that war gave you a free pass.

In our language, yes. But I doubt you've read the original bible, or even understand the language it was written in.

It's actually Thou Shalt Not Murder, that's why we came up with manslaughter.

The bible predicts all sorts of things. For example, last week the roof at my place of work leaked and water fell on the floor, creating a "great flood". When I came in on Wednesday the first thing I thought was "No! Argh!", which is a bit like Noah. Not only that, but it ruined a PAIR of computer MICE!! Pair of animals, see!

Not only that, but the computer itself managed to survive. It's only used to access the internet, which used to be called the Arpanet, which sounds a bit like Ark-and-net - you could've easily been confused by it if you'd never heard of Arpanet, since you might well have a big net on board a ship.

Ever thought that you can apply bible stories to practically anything with very little effort?

The commandment is not thou shalt not kill. Anyone with any basic knowledge of hebrew will confirm.
