CC is declining again!

I'm new here and boy did I play one of my first games stupidly. (Just ask the guys in game 14122078). I believe in this board and I think that we need to support the club to the best of our abilities and spread the word that here is still a good place to have fun. I will strive to do better and become someone that everyone will like to see show up to play.

Isn't that question pointless and useless? It uses an impractical assumption. The focus should be on the process because if the results are changed but the process is not, then you'll get results which deviate from the planned results.

This is the basic reason why redistribution cannot be sustainable and why plans for redistribution have failed.

It is pointless if you're trying to find a philosophy you can build a society on (commuinsts will disagree on that though), but it is not pointless if used as a thought experiment. i.e what is it I'm really so keen on with this idea? that I think it brings about a positive outcome, or that I like the process so much that the outcome doesn't matter? In my opinion no process is holy, not even democracy. If a system doesn't bring about a positive outcome, then it doesnt matter how fair, equal and just that system is. Some outcomes on the other hand, I would argue can justify any means. However most desirable outcomes needs to apply at least decently acceptable means to be justified. Unless we're talking about the survival of our species using any means to get to that outcome is hard for me to accept. However the outcome is what is important, not the process of getting there.

To answer that question, I'm focused on outcomes. Consequentialism ftw.

But to get particular outcomes, ya still need to focus on various processes.

This is basic means-end economic thinking. We do this all the time when we leave the house to get groceries or when we type up a response. Why not apply it to philosophy?
