notw how he neglected to comment on your actual technique.... might wanna get your flam taps and four stroke ruffs down pat instead of donning your leather jacket and riding your hog into the sunset, you cool biker you....
I must be behind. At our school the only guys in the band are nerds, seriously it's not just because they are in the band, and the higher up in the band you are the more nerdly.
not at all in my school, mainly cus even the popular kids are overachievers in my school (they're usually the ppl who get into Ivys too...)
So a lot of the popular kids are in the higher levels of band, as well as nerdy kids, so its pretty socially-neutral in my school. Actually, being able to play well adn jamming w/ a bunch of ppl will definately add to your coolness
I swear to god, the music teacher at our school is the devil. Its not only nerds in our band because some of the less nerdy people are loved by her and so get favoured for nothing, while she is as close to the devil as you can get to everyone else.

My music teahcer was really cool, but i tihnk the seniors who graduated last year drove him off the edge, lol. He probably spent about 10 minutes a day yelling at them for playing out of turn, talking, and other stuff. He's pretty angry towards a few select people, but overall he's pretty cool.
