I cannot help to get the feeling that you're spending more time posting in the forum than designing your maps...
(Maps that looks great btw, but you already know I think highly of them.)

No I understand, it just seems to me that smoothing out the river is pretty easy to do, and really wouldn't take that long. Your poll means nothing because even zoomed in a bit it looks the same. I don't care what % you do, and Im sure no one else cares what % you do, they just want your map to look like a map and not pixelized. So Why are you wasting so much time?

No i dont waste my time, maybe you dont mine but, belive me people who most atack to rivers bee smooth ,the care so much then you. And if only 1 say"no its not good smooth" all my work is drop in water.

Just finish the poll today because the options are all so similar that it does not matter much which one you choose and anyway a lot of people have already voted and so the most popular choice will be made. You are just prolonging the process now.
Then after this issue is settled you can start working on the next amendment.

qwert you can do whatever you want to your map and that is fine amd within your right. However what you cannot do is if somebody asks you to change it back or do something different is refue.
Nobody asked to what % the smoothness should be so you should have takent he initiative now you have pointed it out it will take ages to dicuss this is all your own doing

You didn't change Ternopil to Ternopol, but you have changed Dnepropetrovsk to Dnipropetrovsk wrongly.
It should be Ternopol and Dnepropetrovsk.
EDIT: Also you have changed Cherkassy to Cherkasy. It should be Cherkassy.
All you needed to change was Ternopil to Ternopol, nothing else. Leave everything else as it was.
EDIT 2: You have also changed Polotsk to Polatsk, Polatsk is Belarusian language, you wanted them all in Russian. Polotsk is Russian name.

Look, after looking at half a dozen maps of Eastern Europe, including one from the United Nations, I have seen all sorts of variations for the names of these cities. In fact, the UN one had the names the same as Qwert has them here. I think that they are good enough.
Good work Qwert!

Good work Qwert!
Look, the difference between me and you is that you don't know the history/languages of that region. I grew up there. And I have already explained why different sources have different spelling.
One is Russian transliteration and another is Ukrainian transliteration.
qwert has decided to use Russian transliteration. Me and other people have agreed to that. What happened is that some of the cities are still in Ukrainian transliteration. Both spellings are correct. BUT this is just inconsistent.
It won't matter for most non-Ukrainian/non-Russian speakers of this site, but for some who are, it is just jumps right into face.

But you have said:
qwert wrote:well if i can find site for citi names of USSr from 1941 then i will know what to do.
If you are using Ukrainian transliteration, use it everywhere! If you are using Russian transliteration, again be consistent!
It makes more sense to use Russian transliteration everywhere, because in USSR state language was Russian.
Make up your mind, qwert.
