Shield has a rock-solid meta. When he first started he would often get lynched day 1 and drop major scum tells. Now he is one of the hardest players on site to read. As such, I can provide no educated opinion on shield. There is one scum tell he drops most of the time, but I won't reveal it since he hasn't done it this game and I still want to catch him with it.

This conversation has reached an impasse. As we still don't have a deadline, we can bring forth another case. Betiko keeps tripping my scumdar, but this may be because he writes in fragmented thoughts. Currently supporting the shield BW.

Anyways, I will let this play out fully. There is enough steam on shield for a third claim but not enough for me to hop on the wagon.

Also, I bumped the bias thread; if you ignore the side-conversations and just read the numbered points it is a great little thread.

Anyway, I'll hazard a guess and say the scum slip is switching my votes around. (that's what it took for me to get lynched in Power Role). It might explain why my voting "hasn't been too helpful to town."

Yes, it does seem odd to me for some reason that players like betiko and hippo are continually applying pressure on me. They're probably just doing what they do best: scumhunt. Sometimes they are wrong tho.

I'd rather not expose my role, so I'll continue to pressure vodean until something becomes of it.

Always good to go back and see what happened there! You will see that the BW ended when it was clear I was vt. But also note the later comment (today) by our tracker confirming that I never went anywhere at night. Gotta look at it all!

Of more interest to me Doom, what do you think about the case on Shield? Frankly I think the whole Vodean and Clever thing is nonsense and time wasting.

Since you have been talking to a wall about shield I figured I would throw my comments in on that to help you out.

The only thing that I catch Shield doing right now is playing the protector of S7C, which I know they are friends so could be partially that just to help someone out but for the most part are paraphrasing their responses for them to better help them. The Vote on Vodean I saw coming and if he keeps making me copy out his small texts into notepad just to see what he is saying I will vote him out of frustration!!!! SG has stayed rather neutral to the point and only point I see is their hard defense of S7C which is what it is and thats that.

As for other noted things that have come across to make mention as it got passed over, PMC unvoted without voting at all to go no lynch and claiming replacement so such life, Jonty jumped on it after making no point over either of the two proposed and hit at PMC which almost seems as a point to get themselves on the board and not looking like a Sub. Both caught me as odd and just making mention

As for current point, I am sticking with my vote for now as SG7's actions are not obtrusive just playing how they believe but blind ambition target leads to me wonder what is there and may give more info on it, Vodean I tended to believe based on how they came out of the gate and stepping into the game. Clever has played the victim but talked himself into circles and granted I am coming around to them slowly, not enough to remove the vote yet. I will review the other thoughts I had earlier in this reply as got me thinking again.

Do you mean me? Or pancake? I actually agree with them, I find you quite hard to read at times. So after the little bit of pressure I put on you, I am coming up with not too much. Since we are here though, who would you say is your biggest suspect outside clever/vody.

My take is that Shield is clearly stating he is not vt. If he is not mafia then he is a target. I'm not sure if that leaves everybody in a comfortable position but it leaves me uneasy. On the one hand he now has a target on his back being of a power role but on the other hand there is no claim to allow us to assess his importance. We don't know, for instance, whether he should be protected at night or whether that would be a wasted effort. In particular, if he is scum and the doctor protected him then that would be a waste of the doctor's efforts in that they could be protecting real town. If he is the doctor then there needs to be a roleblocker or busdriver on him, again a waste if he is scum. Frankly I find all this just a little bit alarming and as much as DJ thinks that the funsy self-claim mafia thing can be ignored - I'm not really sure it can. There's a time for joking and a time for lucidity. Here we are left up in the air. The only other alternative is that we ignore shiled, don't protect him and he turns out to be town and is night killed by mafia. We are left in a real bind and I believe that shield has brought this on himself. I can't see a way forward without a claim. Unless someone else has a bright idea? Even if everyone was happy with this situation and decided to kill a stated vt (which is truly weird) then shield's situation is left in limbo. So, what to do?

i have no knowledge, i was just assuming that he was referring to another game...if you wanna pressure him, go ahead, but i think he might be town. If you can build a better case against him, ill add some pressure, but for now, i would prefer to pressure Betiko.
