Maybe that gives a) a clue to his role and b) a reason why the mafia wouldn't kill him.

Yeah but as Aim said, the game isn't always going to be exactly like the stories

I knowI pushed for selins lynch pretty hard before but I now think that hes town. If he does need to rhyme it would make sense that he also has a power role. It also makes sense (sorry Idont know the robin hood story line so excuse me if this is wrong) but If he is alan dale and alan got married to someone could they be lovers? If selin is town but married to a scum. If we lynch him wouldnt somone commit suicide the next night?

If he's married to someone, then that is pretty much a given. The topic of him being married has been brought up anyway.

That's pretty much definitive that he does not have a spouse or significant other of any sort. Aside from that, here's my theory:

Mandy said he wanted to be lynched before day 3, the day of the archery contest. He was Maid Marion, who was on the side of the town, but, in the legend, she was on the side of Robin Hood. It was speculated that he may have been changed into scum after the contest(correct me if I'm wrong.)

Selin has also claimed Alan a Dale, who is one of the merry men in the legend. I think that this may also apply to Selin. Therefore, if this theory is correct, we should lynch Selin day 4. Get all the help from him we can while he's town, then dispose of him. Thoughts?

It's just that I would expect a more negative result if Aegnor was mafia. Although he does seem to feel free to use his role blatantly without much fear or repercussion by mafia.

Let him live through this night, Exile. If he is still alive in the morning, than I would more than likely believe your claim.
Narc, haven't you been here for the first 80 pages? For 40 pages, I've been trying to hint that the revealing of my role would be harmful to town. Unfortunately more and more people tended to believe Mandy's wild accusations rather than my own claims (even after revealing my winning conditions). I had no other choice than to roleclaim.

Hmm interesting theory there pancake,
reconsidering Selin's words:

Ok, so he claimed Alan-A-Dale and we are pretty sure his role changes on Day 3. But, if he's such a help to the town, how come he's survived Day 1? If I were mafia, I would've taken him out right away.

Maybe the mafia figured out that he would change after Day 3 too.

Most likely. The question is: Would it be worth it?

Would whatever help Selin gives us be compensated by what he could give the maifa?

Hmm, I can't be arsed to look for the quote (that's Selin's job in this case), but he did say something about having an immunity to night kills.

This last little bit tells me that he is saying that he is similar to the late maiden in that he admits he would've said the same thing had he known it was proper. As such, I do believe we will have to lynch this fine poet if only to keep him from going scum on us in whatever day it may be.
