Not exactly... if you're shopping for maps to start a game on, then you have to take the time to parse out the whole universe of maps and rely on your ABC's.jiminski wrote:Angel, doesn't 'Game Finder' do what you need?
This topic was deliberately placed in GD to help bring people (advertising) into the foundry. It is the only form of advertising that is now allowed in the GD thread. Moving it back to the foundry would remove the link back....in my opinion, the navigation of this site is not necessarily the best...i.e. you can't move between forums easily without having to go to the top of the pile. I have asked for it to be made a sticky to no availe.Ruben Cassar wrote:These statistics are very interesting. Can this topic be made a sticky or moved to a more appropriate location...perhaps the map foundry?

actually movement is easy. at the bottom of each page there's a "jump to" drop down menu. just select where you want to go and it takes you directly there.cairnswk wrote:in my opinion, the navigation of this site is not necessarily the best...i.e. you can't move between forums easily without having to go to the top of the pile.

so i will stop.hulmey wrote:with the advent of 1 vs 1 games these kind of statistic's are useless to gamers! I remember when aussie was at the bottom of the pile (nearly) and now its in the top ten!

i start a dozen of these maps at a time not to exploit n00bs but to eliminate the advantage the person going first gets. i have also learnt to create them when Battle-Rage is asleep.gdeangel wrote:Also one comment on this type of stat tracking... a lot of the AoR maps are being started up by the same folks. Routinely you see those maps being "exploited" (I not judging here) to poach points from noobs. If you search routinely for 1v1 public games, at least once or twice a week you'll find one person openning up a dozen +/- 1v1 games on the various AoR maps. Thats because in 1v1 they have very clear dominant strategies that people who play them a lot know and noobs dont.

p.s. you havent ordered fantasy by there movment stats. Youve ordered them by total games created since they went live.
I prefer being 3rd over all than 1st in a sub categoryDiM wrote:gimil wrote:I prefer the origonal as well cainrs. Mainly becasue it put feudal 3rd

feudal is first instead of third place but in the fantasy category (if he orders by movement)

Hehehehe...luv your humour on US Senate Dim.DiM wrote:i love what you have done cairns. it's much more helpful like this. just 2 small issues. put us senate in fantasy and remove the WW1 categ since there are no ww1 maps.

Done...i'll try and present these in two formats....doesn't take much longer.Ruben Cassar wrote:I prefer the original statistics as well. Bring them back!
They give a holistic view of the situation which is what matters.
However great job in compiling these lists!

BID...you seem to have lots of time...why don't you compile it....the best job is done by the originator of an idea.BENJIKAT IS DEAD wrote:I like both lists too, but I think that an even cooler thing to do (although I am aware it would take a fair while longer to compile) is to have a list per game type - in a few broad areas:
1v1
team games - all dubs, trips and quads of any type
standard 3-8 player games, inc Terminator and maybe Assassin, although this could be a 4th area itself
