A man scurries through the dusty streets, away from the market town. His eyes spot a modest household neet the street's end. He breaks down the door, and mercifully finds it unoccupied. Immediately he spots something valuable. A dusty, newly written book lies on the floor. Quickly he gathers it up, and makes his escape.

However, much earlier in time, more direct events are taking place. A man possessed has picked out another who shouldn't belong. He strokes the knife and cuts himself, gleefully giggling as he does so. As he approaches the man, a shadow passess for just the briefest moment before the knife strikes. A new man lies dying before the possessed - Abel's brother - and his face in contored with the pain of betrayal. But although he doesn't know it, he has been saved from most deadly sin. The possessed man screams, and vanishes.

Honestly, the only reason why I seem scummy is because I've been a little more active than the other people who voted for lightning brain. Icedagger pretty much only voted for me because I was the last to vote for the brain.

As for voting for icedagger, he was just asking for it. It's not like I put him in danger of a lynch.

hmmm...... continuing with the "possesed person" idea, if it is a person, which in my mind makes sense, they can choose a person, and do what they want to him/her? I think we have to find this person, and eliminate this person.

The way I read it, the man possessed was either the mafia or some third party, likely a SK. They target Abel, who is Cain's brother, however for whatever reason Cain ends up dying instead. This could be part of his role, or it could be that both Cain and the other party went for Abel, and Cain ended up dying instead.

I don't believe that the scene specifically mentions Abel being on the scene, rather Abel is mentioned as being Cain's brother. (who was destined to be killed by him)
The whole thing to me seems to be the result of a "Bus-driver" type role who happened to switch whoever was being targeted with Cain. The "betrayal" part seems to hint the killer was on the same side as Cain at the time.

I am of agreement with / in this. scum killing a fellow scum would be an act of betrayal

Oh good point, he was probably just describing Cain as Abel's brother.

No we aren't we have the night kill, just look for people that seemed to do everything cmc (I think) did, then we should lynch them.

But why would the scum need to kill their own assassin? I could see it if they killed the godfather and the usurper would take over, but why an assassin?

I'm pretty sure they didn't MEAN to kill their own, but somehow the actions during the night got him killed.

What makes any of you think that scum killed him?

I am quite certain that there are night killing roles on the town side...
