Um, basically he had typed "happy new year" in his image, so I went off that. The CC star's on the hat, next to my name, and there's those green stars on the left.

I would like that a lot, more in the format of that site for real layer tennis. With 1v1, it's more predictable what the next solution will be and therefore takes more skill than luck. Plus we could go on and on for say 10 volleys, just feeding off the last image; we'd wouldn't have to start over with the star every round. But not as a second game, IMO. I think if we do this again (and we definitely should, it's turning out to be a pretty sweet success) then we should go along that format.wcaclimbing wrote:
Mibi, this game seems to be a bit too slow for some people (including me) to enjoy fully. Perhaps, if you host a second layer battle, it could be made up of a bunch of smaller 1v1 games instead of these 4p ones? It'd go quite a bit faster and be much more fun for those of us that have too much free time.
i like this idea and on top of that i'd like some rules regarding the actual aspect of the works presented. i mean i don't like the idea of using images from the net. the whole point of a battle should be skill. i can understand using a render a c4d a stock or something but modify it heavily and make something nice.static_ice wrote:I would like that a lot, more in the format of that site for real layer tennis. you can do much more than that, you got great skills which i saw on the maps you made on the sigs and c4ds you put in the AADOMM forum. what's up with that?Lone.prophet wrote:

I think if one doesn't go over well with the community, you just take their advice for your next image.Kaplowitz wrote:is he even allowed to?t-o-m wrote:so are you doing another one or not?

so far most of the images presented are 90% made of pics found on the internetwhere's the skill?

I was planning on doing a picture in a different style for each round. I started off with just copy pasting images... Im thinken im gunna give the hand drawing a go next. I think we should show are abilitys in all arias for the battle.wcaclimbing wrote:I agree.DiM wrote: i like this idea and on top of that i'd like some rules regarding the actual aspect of the works presented. i mean i don't like the idea of using images from the net. the whole point of a battle should be skill. i can understand using a render a c4d a stock or something but modify it heavily and make something nice.

I like making stuff by hand much more than copy-pasting pics together. Stuff done by hand always looks better in the end. I also wouldn't mind if the star didn't have to be included.
I agree, to an extent. For example, with my image, I honestly don't think it would have helped to redraw the ninja turtle. The image is clean, with no pixellation or compression. Redrawing it would probably just be a waste of time. Granted, I really should have reworked andy, because the shadows don't exactly match (shhh...). And I agree with Dim, lone could definitely put his skills to better use. But most of the time, it doesn't matter if you put a photo in your image or not, but how you use it.wcaclimbing wrote:I agree.DiM wrote: i like this idea and on top of that i'd like some rules regarding the actual aspect of the works presented. i mean i don't like the idea of using images from the net. the whole point of a battle should be skill. i can understand using a render a c4d a stock or something but modify it heavily and make something nice.

my one is almost done now, and thats not made from the internet, all by hand, BUT it has one pic from lone. and im just going to put the star in somewhere...DiM wrote: so far most of the images presented are 90% made of pics found on the internetwhere's the skill?
