Waiting for F1fth though it probably might be a bit unethical to test out claims like that but since the game mechanics do not disallow it I guess it might be the only choice left now.

I sorted them in order of how suspicious I am of them. If opinions on that order vary too much, we could also consider having the person who just claimed point out the next person who has to claim.

I know you claimed tracker, but did you a claim character name too? If you did, I'm afraid I missed that.

A mass-claim is not always a good idea. If scum have names that don't give away their alignment, have been given safe-claims by the mod, or simply manage to successfully bluff a fake-claim, then it hurts the town much more than it hurts the scum. I totally agree with you that mods should take care that one of these three scenario's is feasable when designing the game setup.

However, you shouldn't bring other games into this discussion. In this game we've already learned that the mafia seem to have very much trouble fake-claiming, so we should take advantage of that.

By the way, are you a serial killer? If not, why did you take out Serbia? Or wasn't that you?

I agree with LSU on this one. This is ridiculous. What you propose is taking advantage of game mechanics to cheat everyone else out a good game. The point is to have fun, not to win at risk of breaking the game. Mass claiming is one thing, but this gift thing is just exploitation.

That said, if everyone agrees to this, I'll gladly volunteer. But I won't support it until then because other people might have feelings about it too.

I have no objection to a mass claim, whether it's roles and names or only one of them.

If the consensus is that we shouldn't use the delivery service to verify claims, fine, I won't send anyone anything anymore, though I don't feel I'm guilty of exploitation so far.

And Pancakemix, I didn't respond to the rest of your post because you didn't say anything I haven't exhaustively gone into a hundred pages ago. As far as I'm concerned, you aren't contributing anything and you're derailing town into a witch hunt against those who do. Given that you are indeed a veteran and that you should know better, that puts you near the top of my suspects list.

Nonsense. Even if you suggest Gimpy didn't anticipate this use of the gold donation, surely the telegraph message is meant exactly for this purpose. Thus, Gimpy has included this as part of the gameplay. Sending gold to verify a claim like that is hardly different from sending a telegraph, it's just cheaper.

Last night, I tried sending a telegraph to Seth Bullock, because I suspected him to be the cop (wikipedia said he was the sherif of Deadwood). I'm not going to share the exact contents of the message with you all, but I was trying to find a way for him and myself to confirm eachother's identities without letting everybody know. It's a shame Serbia died, now we'll never know if it would've worked out like I planned.

Anyway, my point here is: we're meant to spend our gold to confirm identities this way. It's not exploitation. It's proper use of the game mechanics. I really hope more people have tried sending messages this way, but it's probably better that you don't admit it if you did so I won't ask.

I cop investigated him myself and got town. The Godfathers are dead, so I believe he really is town.

2) CrabNebula 2.0 (replaces) Russianfire
No idea, really. I've been focussing too much on other players. Possible suspect.

3) pancake (replaces) JND
IMO rather useless and unconvincing. Strongly disagree with his logic. High on my list.

6) Skoffin
Claimed and wasn't countered, which suggests she may be telling the truth. Her investigations have been useless, but at least some of her claims were veryfiable (though not necessarily verified). It puzzles me she's still alive, but she gets the benefit of the doubt.

7) Clive 2.0(replces) TWO
Hard to tell. Possible suspect.

9) Sierra Leon 2.0 (replaces) Skittles! (replaces) Roger Dodger
Looks helpful, which can in itself be suspicious, though I have no evidence. Neither cleared nor overly suspicious.

12) LSU 2.0(replaces) Dustn64
Definitely Wild Bill, very likely exactly what he claims to be.

13) F1fth
Used to suspect him, now less so.

14) Lord Voldemort
No idea. Could be quiet scum.

17) Diddle
Claimed. Benefit of the doubt.

26) koesen 2.0
Definitely town, though others may have their doubts.

Preferably in that order (F1fth first, Iliad last). Character names only, roles are not neceressary. We could then use Koesen's gift-method to test their claims. I'll claim too of course, so you can test my claim as well. And don't give me that crap about mass-claiming not being the spirit of the game again. We're far enough into the game by now and this would help greatly in discovering mafia.

Since pancake has been getting most votes, he should probably claim first and not F1fth.

here's something really itneresting. If you guys remeber I told you that mandy went to AD. Gem saloon mafia tried to kill AD because he was immune to nightkills. Except then how did he die this night.

So either mandy was trying to clean up what would've been his dead body or using a hat

Where does it say that Godfathers are always immune to NKs? Almost everyone makes them turn up innocent on investigation but immune to NKs is upto the mods. And most prolly mandy was using a hat but if he used his only hat on AD then how did he know that browng and cena were scum? There must be some kind of investigative role in that group or he got very lucky.

Also another thing that strikes me odd is that he was also definitely sure of diddle being mafia and even went on to say that if diddle comes out town, he should be lynched next. Of course diddle claimed Mayor and a believable character but something doesn't make sense there.

Anyway, one more thing to be noted is,

This was the best skoffin bandwagon. She was, if you remember, getting bwed for submarining, so it would definitely makes sense to find scum on this bw. Out of these the all except Lovo, RD(Sierra now), russianfire (now me) and skoffin herself have turned up town. I believe Skoffin is town because of her claim (and her extra power

) and I know I am town. That leaves us only with lovo and SL both who have acted suspiciouly. Lovo for not posting anything worth at all and SL for being overly helpful. So FOS Lovo and SL, one or both of them should turn up scum.

And gimpy, can we have a vote count? I do not want to accidently hammer PCM.
