But what is it that keeps you coming here? Is it something that can be built on?JoshyBoy wrote:Sorry.
Bottom line for me is this: I used to love logging onto Conquer Club, now it's just shit. And in my opinion, yes, it is declining.
In so many ways.

You're right; but it's the three months of data since this thread started.BigBallinStalin wrote:3 months is not enough data.
I remember seeing them, but don;t remember where... it might be worth collating that data into this thread?Leehar wrote:Andy showed the graphs somewhere of changes for the last year or so?

I don't disagree with that, but it still doesn't show that the data is particularly useful.MrBenn wrote:You're right; but it's the three months of data since this thread started.BigBallinStalin wrote:3 months is not enough data.
Lack just earlier this week finished up some marketing investigation reports to see where we've lost some ground compared to previous months, in terms of gaining new members. Generally, sign-ups from advertising and internet search engines have dropped to a degree, so refocusing advertising and some SEO are targets that Lack is currently working on.PLAYER57832 wrote:Posted or not, I can gaurantee Lack is on top of marketing stats.
Personally, I think concentrating on the unusual and diverse CC maps more is the way to expand for the long term (without taking away from the standard base), but I have stated that elsewhere. As I said above, its Lack's dime/reputation on the line, not mine.AndyDufresne wrote:Lack just earlier this week finished up some marketing investigation reports to see where we've lost some ground compared to previous months, in terms of gaining new members. Yes witty posters will make people keep playing games on this site........*cough*notyou2 wrote:I believe witty posters is the way to go.
Pardon?
Oh we banned them all.
Never mind.

Yes, considering others keep saying only a small percentage of users are forum goers.....you cant have it both ways. Or are you saying the drop off is posters only, and the gamers are static?notyou2 wrote:Good posters attract people to the site and keep them here for longer periods of time. An interchangeable word for "good" in this case could be "witty".
Is that too difficult to comprehend?

they are charging for tournaments now and have contests with split premium prizes (not giving full years to winners)... what makes you think they are going to give anything away for free now?-el Jesus negrorbelgrod wrote:maybe free t shirts to winners of tourneys or awards?

it amazes me that owen, who often is the mods favorite whipping boy, it the strongest defender of CC.owenshooter wrote:why would CC be involved in a tournament with 2 other sites that are nowhere near the caliber of CC? it would be acknowledging them as somewhat "equal" and/or "relevant"... and guess what? neither are ..... nobody here would bother to look at either of those garbage sites.... i am one of CC's biggest critics, and realize how superior CC is to both of those sites.... bye!!-el Jesus negro
I agree with both of you. Free t-shirts would be pretty cool.owenshooter wrote:they are charging for tournaments now and have contests with split premium prizes (not giving full years to winners)... what makes you think they are going to give anything away for free now?-el Jesus negrorbelgrod wrote:maybe free t shirts to winners of tourneys or awards?

um... no, that is not what the essence of the thread is, but thank you for your valued input...-el Jesus negrobarackattack wrote:Can't be bothered to read this whole thread but is the essence that CC is lame because it doesn't give away free stuff?
