Its hard to tell who's laying low and who's just not posting in this game.

I was laying low on purpose, actually. freezie's argument against me made for a good trap; it's based on a wifom argument, and thus the people who advocated it most strongly were likely to be scum. I was hoping a few more would pile on and reveal themselves before I responded, but no such luck.

That you made the argument you did immediately upon seeing that I survived this morning indicates that there's a good chance it was planned. Besides, LSU died, so it's not like the mafia picked a random newbie to kill; they just failed to pick me.

If I wanted so much to have you out, wouldn't you think you would be out by now?

I just took in consideration the 2 players who have done a lot from now on---Aimless and LSU.

If I was the mafia ( which I am not ) I would have went for aimless, since LSU did some good things, but as far as contribution, YOU did much more. Now LSU is dead and you're alive. It's why I got more an eye on you than everyone else.

2 other schemes would be:

The mafia didn't really know what to do.

The mafia used some brains and went for the second best, in fear of the doc. Unvote Just thought of this..

Sorry to tell you, but wasting a lynch on me won't help the game. I am trying to find out some loopholes with how the mafia planned their things. To me, LSU wouldn't have been the target at all.

About Cynthia...Let's wait till she post something of worth before anything..I don't think she is scum..at least for now.

This is a typical play; when I'm scum, it's usually what I do.

At any rate, my vote against you stands, freezie. It's not much, but you currently top my scum chart.

Well anyway, on to continue that. I will let that argument against Aim go for today. After night 2, I beleive it will get more obvious if he is scum or not.

As you said, the good play would have been to take out the 2nd more experienced in fear of the doc. On there, I totally agree.

But we have few experienced players, I really disbeleive we have a good cop/doc and good mafi all together. So the odds change in here.

The mafia could well have taken out the most experienced in hope that the doc doesn't know what to do...But whoever is the doc, if you didn't protected Aim last night, you made a mistake. I would surely have done that.

LSU was taken down, so obviously someone in the mafia knows what to do. They taken a good player.

For now...I don't have anymore evidences against Aim on that. If he is in fact scum, he could have:

Taken out the other most experienced, thinking the doc would make a mistake.

Taken the second best, which would be the good idea.

So someone in the Mafia DID take out an experienced player, and it wasn't aim. So one of the other experienced players in this game IS scum. And that I am 95% sure of. And it could well be Aim...but unsure of at this point.

So let's see what everyone else has to say first, then I will choose wether or not to come back at Aim or target someone else with my vote.

-----One thing Aim, your vote is kinda an OMGUS vote..So that's another reason I am keeping an eye on you.

I don't make OMGUS votes; I always vote the person I find most suspicious, regardless of other considerations.

Re-read what I wrote, and what you wrote, because you sound like you just admitted that you're making a scummy argument.

Arguing that someone is scum because they are still alive is an argument that scum tend to make (exception - arguments of this type are occasionally valid following a roleclaim, if the roleclaimer survives). As of now, I'm about 50% certain you are scum.

As for "would I still make that argument if I were scum, knowing it's a scummy argument?" Well, that entirely depends on whether or not I thought I could get away with it. But, that point has no bearing whatsoever on this game, because I'm not the one making said argument.

But, exactly WHY would you do it yourself ( like you said you would ) if you know it would give you away? That is what I said. I thought it was simple enough.

Ah, okay. I see what you were saying; I misinterpreted your post prior to that one slightly.

Before I get into this, I would like to make clear that everything which follows is hypothetical and has no bearing on this specific game; it's about game play tactics in general.

First, saying that it's the kind of argument I would make if I were scum may be a bit of an overstatement. It's more correct to say that it's the kind of argument I would want to make if I were scum, because it can have teeth, and is a good way to cast suspicion on the more experienced players. So, coming from a scum perspective, it's a plausible argument to try to get a good player lynched.

The argument itself is scummy, because no townie really has a reason to make it. The argument itself is based on a wifom - the assumption is that scum will kill the best townie each day, but scum know that as well - so, as a townie, you generally can't read too much into a choice of night kill.

As for the way I play; what I generally try to do when I am scum is to create as many false leads as possible. As got tonkaed put it rather succinctly when he got me lynched in the Tombstone game, I try to make it look like I am helping the town without doing anything which actually helps the town. The reason I play this way as scum is because I tend to be very aggressive when I am town; if I don't try to keep up appearances, it becomes obvious that I'm scum.

So, speaking specifically, if I were scum, and I thought I could get away with making an argument like this - for instance, if there were already suspicion against the player in question - then I might try it. It really depends on the situation, and who is playing in the game. However, it's an argument that I've never seen anyone make in good faith.
