I'd bet that 1 out of the 6 is Robin. We have a better chance of finding him if we can narrow the search from 19 to 6. Plus, maybe we can eliminate some of the contestants based on voting records, or cop investigations. your rationale for the first part is why i kind of agree with you on part one....
but the idea of large roleclaims, especially in a game with changes such as aimless has suggested, i dont know if thats incredibly helpful to the town as of yet. I do think knowing the archers, especially if they dont have to give out the color of their masks, might be helpful as the contest progresses, if they choose to continue to reveal themselves. I just dont feel i should be putting what could potentially be 4 other townies (if its only robin as scum) on the chopping block for a scums wishes to be granted...call me crazy.

True, but as always that 'something to hide' could be useful to us. Besides, it's not necessarily 19, at least as far as speculation goes, since several people have already said that they don't have archery skill (selin being one of them, which is why the key word there is speculation). Altho, as said before, I would imagine that none of the peasants have archery skill. I think my heart is fairly pure in this singular instance lol. Its not that i feel i have anything to hide....rather my actions on their own could lead to the deaths of innocent useful townies, because ak had an axe to grind under the premise of finding out more about the contest, and averting our attention from some pretty good investigative work from one mr autoload.Incandenza wrote: True, but as always that 'something to hide' could be useful to us. I have to agree with you on your last point, especially since auto actually went back and dug for evidence and put forth a reasonably strong case against AK, whereas AK's big reveal was 'hey, guys, you know how moz is gone on weekends?'... )At this point, I'm content to sit back and let the archery contest unfold over the next couple of days and compile my own little list of suspects... my fear is that posting will die waaaay down over the holiday weekend, but it looks like the contest won't even be close to over by then, unless in subsequent rounds more than one person is eliminated.

since Im a pesent and have no skill at archary I would like to learn a little more abou tthis contest. What are the bennifits of purposely missing? Are they any or is it just plain stupid to do?
I probably shouldnt be asking this because I agree with got tonkaed and we should keep some information hidden but I cant resist. I want to learn more. And AK Im keeping my vote on you. You seem to be trying to distract everyone from autos work with other questions which seems to be an easy way to avoid a lynch without even needing a defence

The Archery Contest - Round Two
"There was a short break, as the list was readied for round two, but before long the targets had been moved and the contestants once again stepped up to shoot. For this round, the targets were set at one hundred paces - a difficult shot for any archer.
This time, it was the man in blue who shot first; however, despite having done well in the first round, he was unable to repeat his feat. His first two shots fell short, missing the target entirely. The last flew long, but by some miracle clipped the upper edge and hung on; the arrow sunk vertically into the top of the target.
Next came the man in gray. His performance the first round had been superlative, and he was determined to once again prove his skill. Without pausing for breath, he fired two quick arrows; both flew true and struck - a hairs-breadth outside the bullseye, one to the left, and one to the right. Seeing this, he frowned, drew upon all of his concentration, and fired again, this time striking the bullseye just off of center.
The third contestant of the round was the tiger-striped man. Not to be outdone by the man in gray, he fired all three of his shots one after the other, so quickly that the last was in the air before the first had struck. Without even watching them land, he turned and bowed to the crowd, only to be met by laughter - he had landed only one of his shots, and that one barely, striking the lower edge of the outer ring. The other two had both flown wide, and missed the target completely.
Fourth came the man in black. Business like, he lifted his bow and fired - thunk, thunk, thunk - and was met with silence. Clustered together, neatly as you please, were all three of his arrows, dead center on the bullseye.
Seeing this, the fifth man, the man in green, panicked. His composure gone, he fired wildly - and, indeed, it was a miracle that even one of his shots struck home, hitting midway down on the outer ring. The other two flew wild and missed completely.
With this, the finalists were chosen - the man in black and the man in gray. The Sheriff congratulated them both, then turned, and spoke to the crowd. They would compete once more, this time with the target set at 200 paces."
Round Two Results :
Blue - 2 miss, 1 outer ring (out of the tournament)
Gray - 2 outer ring, 1 bullseye
Orange - 2 miss, 1 outer ring (out of the tournament)
Black - 3 bullseye
Green - 2 miss, 1 outer ring (out of the tournament)
Those of you still in the tournament have 24 hours to send me your actions for round three. For round three, the target is to be placed at 200 paces.

Two quick thoughts, since I've had a couple:
1. Could Aimless be setting him up, goading us into lynching the supposed bulletproof townie?
2. Could that daffy Turkish bastard have been playing us all along? Could he be Robin Hood, having adopted the rhyming as a clever disguise? Is it even possible that anyone is that ballsy? I hate to say it, but it would be ten thousand different kinds of bad-ass if Selin just whipped the whole rhyming thing up just to f*ck with us...
Damn it. Things are not always what they seem. And just when you accept that fact fully into your mindset, that's when things are almost guaranteed to be exactly what they seem.

First of all let me state it clearly
to those of you who listens
all what i've written up to now
were all correct without lies
AK, i don't have archery skills
so i didn't participate
in the contest of archery
this seems to be my bad fate
i try also to understand
what is in here going on
i have some questions to you
all towns should try to think on
lets assume that i am robin
why should i claim i'm alan-a-dale
he is guilty in the real story
this would left me looking pale
has robin to talk in verses
like this one in the real story
since when do the minstrels have
so much skills in archery
scene of aimless make sense to me
only from the point of merry men
you all know they can't kill me
that's perfect reason for lynch then
if i had been robin hood
what should be my motive to join
in this contest of archery
i won't get a single coin
please give yourself some more time
check the story for consistency
there are many why's you will find out
most of them will catch your fancy

I wanted to wait til after the contest to weigh in.
So Selin was caught in a huge, blatant lie about not having achery skill. I don't see how we could let him live for that. Also I wonder if the event was triggered by someone in the game or by the mod. From the shot results (6 consecutive bullseyes) its pretty obvious the black contestant would be Hood, so maybe this was someones job to find him? Not really that important I guess. I was going to continue making remarks as I read, but just saw the post about Selin, so I better put it in it's own post.
