he means professionally..
also this thread wasn't started by trolls AK, but it was by multis.
Do you endorse multiing over trolling?
This thread may nave been started by a multi, but it was carried on primarily by upstanding members of the CC community--valuable and missed members at that.
I know I was teasing AK for poor stating of what he meant.... the post explaining on this page was much better.

I don't. They're both just random conversation threads, but this one usually has a better conversation with slightly more intelligent people engaged in it. I suppose that means I prefer this thread, but really I just prefer the conversation.
Spamalot could easily become the longest thread, thread...
If they got rid of 90% of their members
Dropped the stupid "clan" name
Actually talked about things other than spam, bugs, and bans
Read the Forum Guidelines
Obeyed the Forum Guidelines
Learned how to play online turn-based world domination games
But yeah, that's pretty much all it would take.
If I were a mod, I'd probably erase the thread, ban the members, and sit back to enjoy a nice cup of iced-tea in quiet bliss. but that's just me
It's AK too, he had huge backlash from it.. which I think is dumb.
Yes Ak banned the thread but made the mistake of not banning the members.
some of them are ok.
I know some of them are okay but the whole thing is that you can't ban the thread without banning the members and not expect some kind of backlash.

in 1605 (i think) Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the house of Parliament.
He was part of a group of 13 men actually...10 of whom were consequently arrested after he was caught and tortured. The other 3 died during the riots of the midlands, which was the second half of their plan to overthrow the Protestant (spelling?) government, and replace it with a Catholic one. Ironically, because of this attempt, Catholics were persecuted worse then before.
To this day, Parliament never gathers on Nov. 5

What I find strange about Guy Fawkes is that in V for Vendetta, it tries to make him seem like he was an amazing revolutionary from what I gather, but it seems to me that he was pretty much the same as any other religious extremist which isn't an extremely good thing to me.

Guy Fawkes doesn't fit the persona of V for Vendetta in the first place...

Now (correct me if I’m wrong) but the lead character is portrayed as a left wing revolutionary trying to topple a right-wing dictatorship. The inspiration behind the plan to blow up parliament is clearly taken from the Guy Fawkes gunpowder plot.
The writers of the film seem to think he is an appropriate hero for this cause. This puzzled me.
In real life Guy Fawkes is a figure I would class as a reactionary not revolutionary, if anything he was fighting against a revolution. Guy Fawkes planned the gunpowder plot to attempt to destroy the fledgling parliament and topple the Protestant reforming monarchy and reinstate a Catholic monarch returning Britain to the pre Henry VIII state of being effectively under the Pope's control. At this period of time the monarchy was James the VI (or I if you’re English ) he had instituted many progressive policies – unifying the crowns of Scotland and England, recognising the powers of the parliament (however reluctantly!), promoting exploration and the arts while he was also considered very tolerant of religions for his time. A return to a Catholic monarch would have lead to an increase in the churches involvement with the state again, which Henry VIII had severed.
Well, the fact that Fawkes was a reactionary (and furthermore, not very skilled in the revolutionary arts) doesn't mean that V was not based off him, the fact that the events of the movie take place on November 5th (Guy Fawkes Day) should indicate that the people who made the movie wanted to memorialize Fawkes, to an extent.

thats kinda like saying that some hollywood witch movie is automatically based on witchcraft/paganism/wicca...
sometimes, hollywood either fucks up, or ignores the facts to make a better movie...
