Thu., Dec. 30
10 pm..........Holiday Bowl........................San Diego..............Nebraska vs. Washington
WTH? Is this some sick way of giving Washington another chance? They have already played this year and Nebraska embarrassed them. Please don't beat your dawgs.
Sat., Jan. 1
8:30 pm.....Fiesta Bowl...............................Glendale....... ..........Oklahoma vs. Connecticut
Ahhhhh the sweet smell of Automatic Qualifiers. What a great system we have. Unranked 8-4 U Conn up against #7 Oklahoma? What the hell does the BCS have against the Sooners? Nevada or BSU would have been a much better choice across the board.
Mon., Jan. 3
8:30 pm......Orange Bowl.............................Miami............ ........Virginia Tech vs. Stanford
The stench gets worse. A 2 loss VT DOES NOT belong in a BCS bowl. Matching them up against Stanford in Miami is also not a good idea if you want to fill seats.

I am an OU graduate, and I hate the recent Fiesta Bowls we have gotten, but I will say the BCS has nothing against us. It is just the way it has worked out, the last 3 times we have been to the Fiesta Bowl it has been the Fiesta Bowl's turn to get last pick of the non AQ teams meaning each of those 3 years we have gotten the Big East winner or Boise State because no one else wanted them.

Chuck, I meant no disrespect, and the OU vs BSU was a fantastic game (one of the best I've seen in a long time). My point being is from an entertainment standpoint, the match up against OU and U Conn is a very bad selection. Lets just hope that TCU puts up a fight.
I was favoring Oregon in the NC game until I saw this.....
I now believe Auburn will be the National Champions. There is a curse when it comes to being placed on the front cover of SP.

I didn't take it poorly and I agree that the selection sucks, but that is just the way it happens the way the current contracts are written, but I agree with your new selection, I think Auburn rolls in this one.

It's a injustice to Oklahoma and Fiesta Bowl. They haven't even beaten a ranked opponent including getting shut out by Louisville 26-0
Now there seams to be a "glitch" in the ranking system. This is a qoute....
"Wes Colley's final rankings, as submitted to the BCS, were incorrect. The Appalachian State-Western Illinois FCS playoff game was missing from his data set. I will spare you some of the gory, mathematical details, but the net result of that omission in Colley's rankings is that LSU, which he ranked ninth, and his No. 10, Boise State, should be switched. Alabama and Nebraska, which he had 17th and 18th, would also be swapped.
The impact on Nebraska and Alabama is negligible. Nebraska is still the 17th ranked overall computer team either way. The Huskers' BCS score would go up slightly, but they wouldn't still rank 18th. Colley's ranking is discarded for Alabama because it is the worst ranking for the Tide. But LSU and Boise State are so close in the overall BCS standings (.0063) that this one error switches the order. Boise State should be 10th in the overall BCS standings and LSU should be No. 11.
This may not seem overly important, especially since neither team qualified for a BCS game either way. It may be important though because the Mountain West, Boise State's new home, is making an effort to become an AQ conference. This week's data -- the final regular season standings -- is part of the basis for making that determination. Every little bit helps, or at least it could.
But the bigger point is that nobody checks the BCS computer data. We should all be grateful to Colley for having a system that is open, accountable and verifiable. The BCS owes us an entire system that is open, accountable and verifiable."

Considering the number of good teams this season,
the Bowl pairings are ridiculous.
I think LSU deserves the higher ranking which their
tough schedule easily justifies.
Auburn looks like the more balanced team and considering
the way Oregon finished up the year, I expect the Tigers
to prevail. That said... I hope it's a great game.
No surprise... Cameron Newton of Auburn wins the Heisman Trophy.

Six bowl games in the books and the only one worth watching so far
was Louisville slipping past Southern Mississippi. Time of possession
actually matched the final score in this one... 31-28.
Boise State stomped Utah, the first of several ranking mismatched bowl games
and probably knocking an overrated Utes team out of the final rankings.
Buckeyes lose Terrell Pryor and other players for the first 5 games
of the 2011 football season... for being dumb asses.

The way the NCAA handled the whole Ohio State problem is a joke. Making them sit out next is only punishing those that will be around next year. Coach Tressel should bench them.
The Boise game was freaking sloppy. Once Moore started reading Utahs D it was all over.
WTF happened to Hawaii? Tulsa took them to the woodshed.

Boise State should have been matched up against Oklahoma, a nice rematch
of that great bowl upset from a few years back.
Winning records versus a light schedule makes some teams hard to rate
and Boise State lucked out with their Bowl draw. Utah finally earned the
respect of the polls this year, who gave them the benefit of doubts for
a change, only to fail miserably against quality opponents.
Conferences:
Big East 1-0
Sunbelt 1-0
Mtn West 2-1
Mid American 1-1
WAC 1-2
C-USA 1-2
Ind 0-1

Nope. The Utes leave after this year. It'll be kind of weird too, as Wyoming, BYU, and Utah have been in the same conference for nearly a century. Damn BCS ripping apart old and traditional rivalries for money. If Utah hadn't of left, then BYU would have stayed (small man syndrome. They still think that their hotly debated 1984 National Championship still counts for something in the BCS era).

Conferences:
Big Ten... 3-0
Sunbelt... 1-0
SEC... 0-0
Mtn West... 3-1
ACC... 2-1
Big East... 1-1
Mid American... 1-1
Big 12... 1-2
WAC... 1-2
C-USA... 1-3
Pac 10... 0-1
Ind... 0-1
NC State never trails W.Virginia, Air Force ends a good year slipping past Ga.Tech
and Iowa squeaks past Missouri with a 4th Quarter 72 yard INT returned for a TD.
Also... FUCK ESPN for snatching up ALL the major bowl games,
network TV only broadcasts the Cotton Bowl this bowl season.

Are you counting Nebraska as a Big Ten team?

No, Nebraska is Big 12 North Champs and doesn't depart the conference until next season.

Big 10 dropped 3 Bowl games so far today. Right now watching the Rose Bowl, and Wiscy has only mad 1 touchdown and 2 fieldgoals. TCU has made 3 touchdowns.

Congrats to TCU, They deserved it! The Badgers offense and defense was huffing and puffing all night.
That Georgia game was a yawner. Maybe they should just move over to the WAC.

Way to choke it up Badgers. Try handing it off to Clay instead of Ball?

Wisconsin was out played and went into the game with a weak attitude. By the 3 quarter they looked like they where severely beat by a wet noodle. TCU has the number one defense for a reason.
The Sooners actually won a bowl game! Next year they should play Wyoming. Without a doubt the worst match up the BCS has come up with to date.

Yeah, I did. Why not just schedule UConn for OOC next year? Should give the Sooners an easier time than Utah State, Air Force, or BYU.
Besides, Wyoming has Nebraska, TCU, and Boise next year. Not all in a row like this year (thank God), but still not easy.
