To be honest, despite degaston jumping on every single person who ever says anything in their direction, id almost be happier to vote mtam under the pretense that if we somehow lucked into storr as a day cop, that we make use of it.

It's not like storr stands much of a chance with the role he has been given, but if the mod is willing to use characters for flavor and then go with roles as they see fit, we would be wasting quite a bit on a day 1 lynch of storr.

Storr makes sense as a lynch of last resort because no one can figure out what to do on day 1. Pressuing mtam makes way more sense if storr has some kind of power and isnt just roleplaying all over the place.

Now that I think about it, you've got some good points. Pressuring mtam could also help us get more of a feel for how helpful or harmful Storr will be.

I have no idea what makes someone a likely day cop or not. Storr made a pretty specific accusation, but when he first made it, I thought it was just random ranting because I had no idea that it was possible for anyone to know someone else's role on the first day. Then he referred back to his original comment, and Tonka suggested that he might be a day cop, so (after looking that up) that made sense to me that Storr could have already found out mtam's role.

Now that Storr appears to be denying any special powers, I don't know what to make of any of this. If he was a day cop, I don't know why he would have used it on mtam so early. If we lynch mtam, and he turns out to be town, then storr would be the obvious next target, so I don't see what he gains from this if he's not sure.

I don't think I'll be part of this wagon. Is there any reason people are voting Mtam, other than "Storr said so"? And what power role is Storr deemed to have that lets him know on day 1 that Mtam is a death eater?

As far as I'm aware, Mtam suggested that Storr and raigon are connected (unclear why) and Storr consequently called him a death eater. Not much of a case.


Concerning the discussion about day cops... I find it hard to believe that Storr, who has played with Mtam for ages and knows him well, would use this power on Mta D1, if he even has it.

Thats not what you said though. You said it would fit the character in reference to Filch. Youre backtracking which makes me think you threw it out there without really knowing what you are saying.

I don't believe Storr is a day cop.
He saw something from Mtamb he took as a mafia read, and tried to press it. Look it up, it's a pretty good read actually. If it wasn't for his special posting, he'd probably make it more clear.
Mtamb accused raigian, but waited for others to make the case specific. It wasn't until I asked him about it that mtamb finally presented his case.

But the ' a squib like me has no power' seems unlikely. I thought this was No Vanilla?

Well, of course I threw it out there without really knowing what I was saying - This is only my second game, and I'd never heard of a day cop until a few posts ago. Filch, the character, was always prowling around the school, looking for trouble makers - this fits what I think a day cop would be, and I explained that I thought it fit the character. When you said that my logic makes less sense than sempai throwing it out there (whatever that means), and repeated your question, I didn't have anything else to give you, and thought that maybe there was something about a day cop that I didn't understand, so I said I have no idea what makes someone a likely day cop.

Perhaps you could tell me why my first explanation was not good enough?

Filch isn't a plain old squib student, filch doesn't meddle with the dark arts, filch only cares about keeping Hogwarts maintained. No matter who is in charge.

Having said that Storr has not oficially hard claimed yet, but I don't think there's much point making him now as he's practically claimed and as I say, filch wouldn't be scum, unless he's using a fake soft claim.

I dunno - I'm enjoying some of the other arguments cropping up i.e. SW and Degaston - but I agree with JB - this is a big game and difficult to follow as such. After night actions and deaths we'll be able to go back and maybe find useful info from today but as it stands I think the idea of catching scum on D1 in a game this size are pretty minimal. That's not to say that we should't give it a damn good try, I'm just reticent about voting anyone yet.

However I do think that we want a lynch on D1 and at least a pressure for a claim or 2. At the moment Storr has all the votes but who else is the best candidate for votes at the moment? Not that I'm defending Storr, I just don't feel he's particularly scummy if he's already claiming filch at this stage.
