If we dont lynch one of you today then we will likely mislynch. It is preferable to lynch a 50/50 tracker/mafia player today, and guarentee that in the first two days we at worst trade a tracker for mafia. Remember this is a team game, so if you are town then somehow you've trapped a mafia player D1, thats good work.

If you are Town it would be stupid of mafia to counter claim knowing they would be lynched when you flip Town. The fact that you say you did not receive a VT role and just the tracker role tells me that you did not read the format and just claimed. Ptlowe has played enough to know this. Like Wing said if you are Town think of it as YOU trapped scum. I have NEVER played a game of mafia with two of the same character except a few rare flavor games.

This is a good time to discuss game balance. Roles are handed out randomly but the roles them selves are not repeated, which would completely Bork game balance. This is why you will not find games with 2 cops or 2 docs.
Of course people/mods do play around with different formats.
No I think TWR made a simple mistake by assuming the game format and paid the price by not reading it.
Mod made an error when randomizing power roles. Town has been given 2 + x power roles (x being mafia power roles), however no guarantee for cop and bodyguard.

This makes things really tough for town...assuming mafia has 3 roles we have 5. Will have to review probability 2 out of 5 because i assumed bodyguard and cop were guaranteed. My calc wss based on tgis assumption probability is much higher for same role twice in 5 or if they have 2 pr then 2/4....
I dont like that twr was claiming his role came from endgame though or that he didnt start out vt

Is it okay if I am utterly confused now? I need some time to digest al the information of the last hours. Just when I think I understand what is going on, the whole thing moves in another direction. And now we have a mod note adding to the madness. So, Town has a minimum of 2 roles, we don't know which ones at all (except no Innocent Childs) and it is possible people were given the same role? In that case both TWR and Ptlowe could be telling te truth? Do I understand this correctly?
