I see a lot of people around here saying that communism/socialism isn't that bad. But how can you even be serious? It's just like being robbed every day.

Am I missing something, or is communism just the most retarded thing to ever grace the planet.

I know this has been wrote a year ago but i thought i'd quote it and respond, so, depending on the type of communism this rule generally applies, e.g. Chinese modern Communism uses capitalism as a economic policy, so that rule of getting bumped generally refers to Soviet/Eastern bloc communism, which is used in NK today, so Chinese communism allows you with your' own skills to create your' own future economically, however still retains rules like not being allowed to follow religion to a certain extent.

This makes absolutely no sense.

Because?.....

Other than on a few grammatical points, I don't see any problems...makes perfect sense. Only your post explains China's success as being the result of a laissez-faire economic approach, which doesn't fit in too neatly with his worldview.

It is far too generalizing though. China isn't as capitalist as the US for example, and it leaves out social factors that may also cause or at least affect this growth of the economy. (Like say, the fanatical approach kids have towards education. Or the effect of the communist government (mostly Mao) which raised average life expectancy and taught nearly everyone how to read and write. The culture of China which is based on working as hard as you can even when the rewards for it are not that big.)

There is certainly some truth to it, but it's far too generalizing.

How do you do. Please state your problem.

I'm not sure I understand you fully.

Did you think they might not be debating whether or not communism sucks ?
>> Well, I'm sure there were some satiriccal and ironic comments made, but on the whole, I think it is a sensible disscussion.
Is it because you are sure there was some satiriccal and ironic comments made that you came to me ?
>> Yes, I was wondering if you could help me draw a line under the matter.
You seem to be quite positive.
>> Well, you bring out my more pleasent side. Do you think communism sucks?
Your more pleasent side ?
>> yes, I am extremely happy to talk to you about issues of such importance.
You are sure.
>> Without a shadow of a doubt. What are your thoughts on communism?
Why do you ask ?
>> Because I am trying to figure out whether or not communism sucks.
Is that the real reason ?
>> yes. Does communism suck?
I see.
>> you see what?
We were discussing you -- not me.
>> no, we were discussing communism.
Are you saying no just to be negative?
>> no
You are being a bit negative.
>> listen, would the world be better off with a communist dictatorship?
Lets discuss further why your more pleasent side .

Oh, I really are a naughty girl ?

You're not really talking about me -- are you ?
>> well, actually I was trying to talk about communism, ut you keep trying to distract me
Were you really ?
>> yes. Do you think that our national production of goods should be based on equity?
I understand.

You don't seem quite certain.

Realy, everyone ?

You seem to be quite positive.
>> Well, I am actually trying to decide whether this is the way forward for this country
How long have you been actually trying to decide whether this is the way forward for this country ?
>> hmmm...about 10 minutes
Please go on.
>> well, as previously described, a few people on some internet forum are discussing communism, and I would like your expertise on the matter
Would you like it if they were not discussing communism ?
>> I don't mind either way, it is a fairly subjective topic.
Don't you really mind either way ?
>> well, it is either disscussing communism or trying to beat a fourth one out. It seemed to be the soft option
What does that suggest to you ?
>> That maybe I should stop wanking quite as roughly as I do.
Why the uncertain tone ?
>> Because I like the feeling of a tight grip around the old member.
Don't any other reasons come to mind ?
>> I can't think of any other reason. However, ive me a yes or no answer, does communism suck?
How do you think that you can't think of any other reason ?
>> enough about that. communism? does it suck? yes or no?
You are sure.
>> does communism suck?
Do you feel strongly about discussing such things ?
>> I don't, I just want to know what you think
Why don't you ?
>> because, like I said, I would like to draw a line under the matter
Does that reason seem to explain anything else ?
>> not really.
I'm not sure I understand you fully.

Can't you be more positive ?

Why not ?
>> Im going now
Please go on.
>> bye
Goodbye. Thank you for talking to me.

It doesn't when it isn't allowed to self govern. Otherwise, the most efficient solution to a problem is most likely to be found by the market, though by fluke, the government may occasionally find a better solution. The present crisis is a demonstration of a particularly brutal piece of negative feedback in response to intervention in the market in the form of artificial interest rate mismanagement.
Interesting given what followed......

Somtimes reviving the past is eloquent.

Wait, is Nappy not banned? But DM is?

They're like the same person, but complete opposites ideologically, except DM was the better writer.

So is the Neo-Con champion still around? Has he ever been banned?

I think he just wandered off to Pile of Awesome at one point, although he's not really a regular poster. He certainly hasn't posted here in a long time.
