gosh this is a bugger. the fact that mandy used the phrase"basic"townie makes me suspicious.
But on the other habd, 2,83, did hammer an innocent (me and voldie not knowing, obv). That seems pretty damning-why did you hammer, 5, 6,9?

I hammered Neoteny because I was sure he was scum. I was wrong. About the doc, I'm not sure what to say. All I know is what my PM says. Maybe the doc was killed and we don't know it.

Look. It appears all three of us are claiming town. Basic townie at that. I'm not sure who to believe, so I will stick with my last vote, as I have a stronger feeling that it is mandyb. I will say this: I am not the doctor.

Everyone knew i was the doc. Iwas pretty sure you were scum. Looking back over the thread, you kept jumping on off badwagons and generally looked scummy.
Plus, you were the hammer in the last kill.
I shoukd have stopped thinking at that point.

But, my mistake was to look at the thread again, and at one point you said "Right, ihave been a way four days,notmuch has happened lets get moving!".

And i thought-erroneously-"Well, no one who was scum would leave their mafia game forfour days, surely"-it must be mandy. (who posted frequently throughout the game)

Suggs you are a prize plum! All the clues were there.

First Sam and 538 vote for you along with Neoteny taking you to -1. You try to avoid claiming and in the process reveal unintentionally that you have a power role (something which Mandy clearly sussed from her comments and as I was the Cop then I knew you had to be the Doc).

They both unvote you so as to not look suspicious. Then Sam makes his overblown statement about Town being screwed if we don't get a lynch, for which I FOS him. 538 quickly comes to his defense, which should have made you suspicious.

Then 538 is brought to lynch - 1, when Mandy and Mac join my vote on him, and in response he quickly votes Neo (he can't vote you because you have already claimed town, and he can't vote one of the people who have voted for him, because that would be an OMGUS vote - so he has two choices Sam or Neoteny - you should at this point have asked yourself why he picked Neo, when there was already suspicion on Sam.

Anyway I unvote, because we still have time to find someone and there's a good chance someone will slip up - which they do as Sam tries desperately to start a bandwagon on someone else, voting first you and then Mandy before settling on Mac when Neo casts a vote for him. That clinches it for me and I vote for Sam along with Mandy and Mac. Sam turns out to be scum, and then I get night killed, which really should have led you to rule out Mandy and Mac as scum as Mac is right in a game this small it is unlikely that they would vote for a fellow scum, especially so close to the deadline when they could have just waited it out and had a no lynch.

Lovo temporarily replaces 538 and immediately goes after Mac - again very suspicious since Mac was the one to hammer Sam. But then You and Mac vote Neoteny and without waiting to hear what he has to say for himself 538 hammers - v. scummy!

Neo turns out town and Mac is Night killed. That leaves you with two options - Mandy or 538. You only have to look at the voting records to see that it's the latter. Even a ghostly Mac tells you so and yet you still vote for Mandy!

I would like to point out for all the new players here that this was not really a C9 game, even though cena calls it that. I PM'd him about this before the game started, but I got ignored.

In a real C9 game, you can't be sure whether there is a cop or a doc. It all depends on chance:

25% chance that there are 2 mafia, 1 cop, 1 doctor and 3 townies.
25% chance that there are 2 mafia, 1 cop and 4 townies.
25% chance that there are 2 mafia, 1 doctor and 4 townies.
25% chance that there are 2 mafia and 5 townies.

In the setup you just played, it's actually much easier for town to win because they have two powerroles and they know it. The optimal strategy would be for the cop to claim day 1, because he's sure there's doctor to protect him. It becomes more fun in a real C9 game, where a cop can't be sure there's a doc, so he won't be tempted to claim early in the game. Mafia can also take a risk and claim a powerrole, hoping it isn't in the game so they won't get counterclaimed.

Shame on town for losing anyway. Well done FiveThreeEight!

Unfortunately I only realised that after the lynch on Day One and then it was too late to ask for protection.
