Ah, its "River City Ransom". A pretty fun game.
Theres a japanese one that has the same gamplay i forgot what its called but its just as fun (maybe even more fun - idonno.)

I don't know if this game ever came to the states - I've only played a translated rom. It is a lot like River City Ransom:

I don't think anyone knows the game. I'd change games or pass it to someone else to keep it going.

It is the original battlefront. While Jedi were there as a power-up you could not control them. They were also invincible. That is unless you had a cliff and a well placed nade/rocket.
