Some random volunteer was working on an app for a while but they disappeared. I'd be surprised if bW doesn't have plans in the works though.

It wasn't very good. I think BW should partner with a decent app maker and go splitsies on profit. Loads of app makers who cross-advertise who are looking for ideas on apps everyday.

The app market will create a very different kind of user, but the old school can always use the site and many app folk would use it as well.

I would suspect that some recent changes: auto-resubscribe, raised prices, UI change, were meant to put CC in a better partnering position. With people on auto-resubscribe, it makes the user base appear committed, it allows BW to say that he has a core user base and a steady income flow despite what user numbers may indicate.

I will single handedly revive Conquer Club if you let me change a few things. thanks. Then we can erase the decline from our brains and pretend to be CC zombies once more. It is an admittedly subtly plan, but it may just be crazy enough to work.

step 1:

Attract 12 year olds with an app in the itunes store.

Step 2:

Step back and pay close attention to the amount of new noob members. It will astound you.

step 3:

Teach them how to play risk. Albeit, the dummy version where they are told how to win 1v1 and flat rate games.

step 4:

Change the game searching criteria on the join a game tag to show the games that have been waiting the longest to the front. This will get them looking at who plays weird settings and maps to gain points from noobs.

step 5:

The noobs want to not be noobs anymore since every online twelve year olds goal in life is to not be a noob. They then become point hungry and look at the special games and weird maps the good players are playing such as a conquerer or the guy who has 20 games on the first page of "Join a game" and the rank of a brigadier.

step 6:

The noob learns from those who manipulate the system. But, there are those that are much smarter than the average human and can understand complex maps and new strategies that take the luck of the dice out of the game. The noob loses for a long time before finding what they are good at. They play more games and all the smart manipulators of the game stay ahead of the curve and challenge other members to do the same thing.

step 7:

membership grows. competition grows. Conquer Club once again flourishes. I continue to pwn noobs.

I was taught all I know by copying and improving on others staregies. I taught 3 conquerers how to play the game, but never had the discipline myself to get to conquerer. Now the system is backwards. No one can go anywhere or do anything special and the new members see that and wonder what happened to a website with 30,000 users. Conquer Club is dead and it seems so old to me now. Its good to be back.

Game 12971764 is the last game on page 58 of join a game.

My closeest game to this one that predates that game is this Game 12964198. This game ended August, 5th 2013. That means that the last game on page 58 has been waiting over a year to get players.

There is also double the waiting game pages as a year ago (20 pages) with HALF THE PLAYERS ON CONQUER CLUB MISSING. This is what killed CC to me. Fix this and get a young generation this game might be good again HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The store has been changed to make it very clear what is being purchased. Along with that are VERY clear instructions as to how you can cancel/opt out of the annual renewal.

I remember in the summer you were saying we needed an event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Great War. Well, we put together a Great War event, bigger and more intricate than anyone expected, and have you participated in any aspect of it? Not one. Not one of the 30-something Great War tournaments have you joined, nor the writing contest, nor the guessing game, nothing.

It's like the antisocial kids in school who go to the dance but sit in the parking lot smoking dope in their cars and never do come in and dance. And then they go around saying "dancing is stupid." It's only stupid to them because they don't do it, and they need to have some swisted justification to avoid cognitive dissonance. Bottom line in, CC is dead to you because you don't bother participating in the events that are right under your nose to participate in.

The scoreboard is updated every hour. Only players that have taken a turn within the past 30 days are listed. New Recruits are listed once they have finished a game. If you are not familiar with the ranks, they are described in the "Instructions" section.

we'll see what comes of this. till then the real number is 9224. which is the amount of players that have at least one game completed.

There was an issue with some games not being counted as "Finished Games". This caused some members to fall off the scoreboard despite still being active. This issue has now been fixed and the scoreboard is displaying properly.

Got bored and looked up some numbers. And apparently if we compare Metsfanmax's graph with some Google trends history for the keywords 'play risk online', there is indeed an overall decline in popularity of the game risk. How much that decline is, I don't know as no y-axis was offered. However this at the very least shows that the management of this website is at least partially not to blame for the general decline.
